omg so glad we're both in the "oops I forgot about my tbr" club haha because why am I literally thinking about making a new tbr right now when I haven't finished any of the other ones I have made 🙃 I discovered Gillian McAllister through Wrong Place Wrong Time and haven't checked out any of her books published before that. I think now that I also really enjoyed her newest release I should start looking into her backlist though. You should definitely read some Fredrik Backman, I absolutely adore his writing! Beartown is great but does cover some pretty heavy topics so I would just be sure to check trigger warnings and also be prepared to read a book that will make you cry before you get into it

Thanks for recommending! I still definitely want to read The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, I'm just not sure when I will get to it. This is moving it up the list for me though!

Definitely agree the Wax and Wayne series is so much fun! I'm always open to book recs but I so far don't think I'm a huge graphic novel fan/reader 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you! 🥰 I think The Brothers Hawthorne is definitely not a required read for The Inheritance Games series but it wasn't bad, just not for me because I found it leans way more ya than I was looking for or like. I hope you like Before the Coffee Gets Cold when you read it! 🤍

I haven’t heard of that manga series (though I don’t read manga so I haven’t heard of most of them haha) I have read all of AGGGTM though and it was such a fun series. My fav was the first book just because I found the later books to get a little too over the top to be believable but I think if I read them when I was younger I would have been obsessed!

It’s still a really good book and I loved the writing and characters! I mostly just found that because I personally wasn’t intrigued by the video game plot, when the plot was more focused on that I found myself not wanting to eagerly pick it up again after putting it down. Still definitely worth the read though 😊

I guess I must not read much of the genre she writes??? I'm always open to trying new genres and authors though so if you have any recommendations let me know!

I'm the same way! Anything that looks mildly interesting or even if it's just a cover I recognize I'm marking it as want to read and then wondering my by tbr is so long on Goodreads haha

I put Twisted Love on my want to read list near the end of last year when I was first starting to read contemporary romance and I was just putting any book covers or titles I recognized on my want to read list so I could try out a lot of things and see what I like haha Though the longer it has been since then the less I feel I want to read it so I may just pass on it, don’t think it will be for me 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh I have heard of the sequel for The House in the Cerulean Sea! I’ll have to put a Libby hold on it if I can. How would you describe Remarkably Bright Creatures? Great to know you loved it but I literally no nothing about it other than recognizing the cover haha 😂

I always start by sticking to the tbr and just slowly drift farther and farther away from it haha Both of those book titles sound vaguely familiar to me but I can't quite place them. Glad you're loving it so far!

That's great! I hope you like Ducks if you decide to pick it up 😊 One of my reading goals this year was to read outside my comfort zone and try new things and trying out a graphic novel definitely counts towards that!

The braids and overalls are basically my saturday uniform at this point haha I agree, I don't think graphic novels are really for me but it was fun to switch it up and try something different. I totally forgot about Heartstopper, maybe I'll give that one a go sometime
