I'm a local and I don't like that flan/pudding either lollll. BUT nothing beats the Xôi Xéo - the sticky rice with mung bean and fried shallots. I'd move cities just to have that as my breakfast seriously haha. Welcome to Vietnam Henry and Bobby!

I had goat sacrificed for me in a Nepali village and we ate it for 4 days, no refrigerator, can say was not my favourite, but appreciated their gift. 🇳🇵

That really is a lovely little town isn't it? The Vietnamese people are quite entrepreneurial aren't they? It's getting harder and harder to see mom and pop establishments here in the West so it's nice to see customers/guests that get to talk and chat to actual owners. The setting on the roads in Ninh Binh is beautiful.
Very true! So many small business owners and it's a really nice thing about the country. Ninh Binh was really nice, especially once you get out of the touristy bits. I actually quite enjoy the town itself and you can find good local food and really see how the locals live. Beautiful country roads all around the town!

Don't worry there are no more crocodiles in the wild in VN . You can find them only in the zoos or breeding-farms . But in Van Long national park there are plenty of wild birds ( storks , cranes , teals ...) , turtles , snakes , frogs , toads , lizards ... and especially the rare black/white langurs ( not monkeys like she said . Perhaps she didn't know the English name of those primates ) . The movie King Kong - Skull Island was actually filmed there .
Ahhh langurs. I wish I could have got a better look at them 🙂 I read that they are trying to reintroduce crocodiles and there are some already in Cat Tien national park 🐊 Oh yes we read King Kong was filmed there. It really is a magical place 🙂

VN có cá sấu, nhưng ngoài tự nhiên thì chắc không còn. Chúng chỉ còn ở trang trại, vườn bách thú. Và khu bảo tồn rừng.

Các bạn yên tâm vào rừng còn hiếm gặp thú hoang nữa là khu dân cư sinh sống gặp cá sấu. 😂 cá sấu ở VN là nuôi để thịt rồi 😅. Vào vườn bách thú thì còn thấy.
