1998 Jeep XJ Engine Swap! How hard could it be?
congrats on the fix, I think it's a cool game. Cromptons is the most iconic coinpusher company, going back to the early 60s. The coin launch gameplay makes this more exciting than most pushers for me
I’m distracted by the dirty fingernails 🤢🤢🤢🤢
Showcase 33 shipped with a Neotec 33" dual mode monitor, so the 27" D9200 is definitely a downgrade.
God, I hate Megatouches. Fixed way way too many of those back in the distributor service dept days.
A hundred bucks ... that game was likely well north of $10k brand new!
are they easy to change to a non ticket machine find them pointless if u cannot win a prize from them? also them flippers are so over priced had 1 and needed 4 of them would of cost to much to change
@@playuk-tiktok They are basically impossible to swap over. Different software. Plus the token version actually had a token dispenser as well as the token counter, so to my knowledge you didn't actually win the same tokens you knocked over. This was done so they could do the jackpot, but makes it impossible to use for prizes. I might however, have plans to modify it to unofficially give the tokens you win back, instead of tickets.
@@BlocksRetroRepairsWould be awesome if you were able to convert it and get the software. The UK token (coin) version didn’t have a token dispenser so any tokens/prizes fell directly into the payout chute. The hopper would just be used to payout a coin value if you got a coin into the goal holes instead of tickets. Might be a bit tricky if a specific board was needed to control the coin hopper paying out coins via the goal feature rather than tickets unless they both use the same board. Other differences on the UK version are obviously you’d need a payout tray and to install some sides on the bed for the house takings so it’s not 100% payout. There’s a video of the UK version on YT if you search Cromptons Soccer Shot by Mcpizzaface. Gives you an idea of what the payout tray looks like and where the house takers would go. The hopper did actually double up as a change machine although I believe only a few had the change machine feature added. I presume it was an optional added extra. Cromptons were a brilliant company, so advanced for the time and made extremely solid machines built to last. So many still going strong today in the UK. Sadly was their downfall, built so well you wouldn’t need to buy again hence they sadly went out of business around 5 or so years ago. Interesting fact - Cromptons invented the coin pusher back in 1964
🤘🤘
Mounting the lcd would have been helpful
Gosh this atari showcase has been passed around lol
Always distracting me on my filming days 😂
Why does he have nail polish
Great work man, looks amazing!
🤘🤘
I burned off 2-6 pads. Do you only need 2 wires for the charging?
Hi! Thank you and u have useful content particular to the et24; I'd suggest a little more work on the script as couldn't handle watching but a few mjnutes
Why not install atsc tv tunner built in so you don’t need Av for on the air tv
Let’s not question why he painted his nails 💅
I should be editing but, oooh, more records!
I don't know why I love watching these videos but I do lol. Thanks for uploading them mate.
Why change the original hinges?
@@Phono-fun they are the original hinges, they were just originally painted black. I just removed the paint and polished them
Nice ☺
Hey, that link for the USB-C converter is dead. I've looked around but don't see another option. Do you know of another place to get this mod? Thanks!
It's quite crazy how much use we have found for bug juice (shellac) over the years
Love the videos, thanks
🤘
You better triple check the rest of the set screws in that thing lol
Do you have a jukebox that plays 78s? Did they even make them? Because that could be pretty rad.
Nice, nice..
🤘🤘
Does it run on diesel or coal?
You can fix it
Honestly just go for the modern compressor and new refrigerant lines. The logo being painted over is probably more detrimental to its value anyways. Might as well get a functioning (more) care free machine going, ya know?
Replace the compressor and put a service port on each side
if he's fixing it for resale probably not worth the hassle. the compressor itself probably goes anywhere between 250-350. not only that but if he's not a hvac tech or epa certified then his best bet would be going to a hvac company that would fix it for a fee.
@cloudedcoot1426 That's definitely not his best bet that's minimum effort, would not be hard to find a cheap compressor of similar size and add service ports like the og comment stated. Doesn't have to be new or right just working
@nahhh5318 @nahhh5318 he would still have to be epa 608 certified to legal work with refrigerant. you also need a vacuum pump, recovery machine and etc. Im willing to bet the average person doesn't have that laying around unless they regularly work with refrigerant.
@nahhh5318 would still have to be epa 608 certified to legal work with refrigerant. you also need a vacuum pump, recovery machine and etc. Im willing to bet the average person doesn't have that laying around. he said himself "it's end of the road if it's refrigerant related" like he knew he didn't have the proper tools and equipment. so yeah that's his best option.
Hey! Refrigeration mechanic checking in for duty! A quick way to check if the compressor windings are bad is to check resistance across the compressor terminals. S to C should read 3-5times higher than R to C and S to R should read the added resistance of S to C and R to C. If you read OL between any of them = bad Compressor. I'm actually more concerned that there is a start relay on that compressor with no start capacitor in sight hahaha
My recommendation is to check and see if you have resistance between all the terminals(and no continuity to ground from any of the terminals). And if you have resistance, I'd order a supco 3 in 1 start kit. They're super cheap and work great
Unfortunately I learned to check the terminals after filming this. But even more unfortunately I have 9ohms between common and start but up in the k/mohms between common and run.
@@BlocksRetroRepairs dang! Might as well replace that messed up evaporator if you replace the compressor
Whats crazy is how much this car costs in the us I got my mk1 tt for 2000$ and fixed it up to basically brand new for another 2k its the 180hp fwd variant but its a convertible
Man this takes me back to being 16 and working in the mall food court haha.
Would love to see modernizing one of these old fountains. Would be nice information to learn, never know when you might could use it.
EWWW! squeaky little voice! ugh.
Are you buying to resell?
Me and you have very different definitions of One Very Specific Reason
That's an impulse machine. The water is cooled by the refrigeration part of the machine, and that cools down the cold plate the post mix product runs through. Nobody makes post mixed products anymore, so that machine is only good for display.
Um, most everyone uses bibs which are post mix syrups
Not a bad deal. That said... If you plan on using it for soda, this is a premix soda machine. It uses kegs (think big bottles of soda). Most modern machines are postmix which have soda syrup in a "BIB" (Bag In Box) and mixes with carbonated water in the machine.
Run it rich like McDonald's.
Restore the old design
that co2 canister is a STEAL
for sure, I used to get 100 bucks just for the empty cylinders like that one. People in the snake and snake food biz use them to "gas" their feeder rodents.
your bucket is not 5 gallons any more and one bad day from kicking the bucket
Make sure to clean the filters and run a lot of cleaning treatment through it. Most companies never clean the inside
It’s so cool!
Me and you have very different definitions of coke residue
😂 that is awful
Howdy, I also bought an old (and unusable, sadly) Macintosh 512k about a year back and I've only recently gotten to taking the electrical components out of it and was wondering if you ever ended up getting the 4:3 LCD screen like you mentioned as I was hoping to do something similar with mine but, I figured I might as well ask you seeing as you did this all by yourself and practically did all the heavy lifting I would have had to do if I haven't found this video haha! I'm mostly wondering if you ended up needing to make a seperate bracket for a 4:3 or if you just decided to keep the 16:9 Monitor instead. Would appreciate a response when possible!
@@ArtistTheArtist05 I decided to keep the 16:9 as I liked how well the touch screen works
