Bro I got a bug or glitch at Black Gap Forrest... Somehow I couldn't move at all and stuck and whenever I want to save the progress it still stuck... Could you give me some solutions or fixing the glitch?
No idea, sorry. Loading the previous savegame? Did you run into a Fairy glitch?
@foerstj what is fairy glitch bro? Surely theres a fairies/pixie at that Forrest and I got mana from them..
@@foerstj and the terrain is dissapear bro, I can't walk to anywhere
Fairy glitch bro is when the fairy heals you bro and doesn't stop bro. It makes the terrain is dissapear bro. Just load a previous savegame bro and if you overwrite the same savegame every time bro and saved after the fairy bug bro then tough luck bro
@@foerstj Thank's a lot for the information bro, you got new subscriber bro, its me bro. Respect bro ✨. Bro hug ✨.
I don't see a link to your other social networks, do you have them?
This is beautifu, may this game never die. I put this video in the background to study..
Awesome
Force spell is kinda imbalanced.(Increase other spells damage or reducing the damage of the force spell would be nice) It would be cool to see him switching the targets as well. Pity he is doing one spell too many times over and over instead of switching them more often to make it look more sophisticated. But it looks good, don't get me wrong, however the gameplay not so much 😅. No positioning, no support spells, nurture is basically useless here should go for major heal instead, no resummoning just stand and click health potions...thats basically facerolling the game (which was poorely developed imo...I try to play completely without them or use them rarely) that takes out the fun part to be honest. No offense. Gom was developed quite good but if you have 8 multiclasses with 8 summons his dmg is divided so much that its laughable so I understand its hard to make it well balanced for every build. For instance 5 warriors here would clear the reaper super fast with little hp threat but the force spell...which would be spread to all targets and overpoted 😅. On the other hand it would become much more challenging with 8 lower lvl chars (which is why I love this game... to make it more fun and diverse compared to other rpg games) and thats the upper hand for ds1 so I don't see a reason to neglect it 😁. 1 vs Gom = fun 8 vs Gom = challenge and super fun I see the correlation here as well. (Not sure if its possible to have 7 more companions to hire in this map version) That'll be it 😅 . Cheers.
The Reaper is balanced to be as strong as Gom, and the Force spell is directly re-used. What may make it overpowered here is the fact that spells are cast several times before switching. Gom switches randomly after each attack, which imho makes it look less sophisticated. About my gameplay I'm sorry I'm boring you, go and play the map yourself whichever way you like! ;) There are enough companions on the map for a full party if you want.
@@foerstj I see, but i think you can see yourself thats it is way stronger in comparison to other spells. What I meant sophisticated is that Gom switched spells frequently to avoid stuff like damaging only the one tank up front. What made the fight much more exciting. I dont find it sophisticated to hit main tank for several minutes without outcome. For instance Gom used summons and retreated to heal or to make a party move for him to be in a better position. Sure everything can be exploited but thats what I had on my mind when talking about sophistication. Surely its a good thing to finish unconscious members and to cast 2-3 spells in a row to finish them off but not to get stucked on one tank as the latter fight where he was doing basically nothing and it is not very challenging. The Dragon Queen was a harder fight because she targeted whole party 50% of the time. Gresh fight or Spider Boss were very well executed (depending on the stage of the game). Reaper has much potential if made to move around a little bit to not get stucked to one target. This is a positive criticism and a subjective feedback (every game need more people to do the testing), hope you are not being offended. You can do whatever you want with this information after all.🙂 Ps I understand that everyone has a different gameplay level...it was just a statement from the observation. All the best. Cheers
To sum his up. Overall a good effort on creating this map surely wasn't a small deed, lets just appreciate someones time spent. The idea, environment and the overall feeling was good and definately will try this map myself. However what wasn't nice was the, for some reason, biased, ignorant and unwilling attitude from the narrator (hence cheating after first creep)pointing out every single detail that he could find that was errorous or not to his liking or comprehention (like the lizard like voices in the dungeon with dragons for instance but also many, many more) or will to even try to think about it in any sense. Which is a pity because it completely runined the review for me... not honest, not objective and with cheats you cant make any kind of a conclusion. I like the challenge, he obviously likes the comfort. Sure the map has some errors, but its a hobby map in the end. Just my 2 cents...
Dude relax, I'm not trying to shittalk this map. Imho the review is quite balanced between the pros and cons of the map, and I never criticize something without giving the reason. My review is unfiltered and opinionated, if you don't like that style, make a better review ;) A lot of the things I criticize are about polishing, and I mention it because it really wouldn't have been much of an effort for the map maker to improve them. Hope at least you liked the map & try it out! This guy Psychogun2003 has made several more maps in a similar style, including Kingdom of Asgard and Mystery of the Abyss.
@@foerstj I watched it through but the constant criticism of everything made it very annoying to watch. The main reason I can't think otherwise than you being biased was the unwillingness to play it fairly. Felt more like mocking than a review, thats the feeling it delivered. If it wasn't for your sum up at the end which easened it up a bit I would assume he ate your dinner 😅.
Why being so critical 😅 The concept is nice and the atmosphere is fine.😁
So I tried the map editor today in hope I can squeeze something out of it, but it pops a lot of errors ...and later the movement stopped working...when i press and hold right button on the mouse it does nothing and when i press right and left button it teleports me into the darkness somewhere. Also i cant open any other map it just pops up a fatal error. :D i guess thats it for me...what a pity.
You won't find help to fix these issues under a two years old youtube video, but maybe in the Kingdom of Ehb Discord community ;) discord.gg/WFUMHZjM
@@foerstj yea you are probably right, :D. Ty for your advice! Keep uploading its nice to watch :). All the best!
Btw wanted to ask...did you play fall from paradise? I did try it yesterday however after the spider/troll forest it crashes both ways...out of memory or makes me stuck in graphic error. Any ideas? I was playing multiplayer with one more person. It looks nice so might be a pity if it's not playable.
Yes I've played that map. I had no problems
It's a good map. Try removing any other mods you might have
@@foerstj alright ty for advice 🙂...just one more question. Just copy to DSLOA as usual?

Nice episode 🎉 i think i did this route once or twice in a life time 😅.
This used to be a nightmare for us (me and my brothe) as i remember doing this for the first time it took like 6 hours to solve. Quite intimidating...then 20 years later i did it again and draw a map and was actually quite easy to navigate 😅 the first part was the hard one the second one was confusing as you had to cross till you almost approached the door and only then the brigde behind would appear. The last one was crazy but its actually the easiest and closest one to go through 😀. Cheers
Didnt know it was altered 😀 might as well test this one out 🎉
thank you for your effort it looks amazing just played veteran sirius moons pity its 68 are only and elite starts at 83 was hoping to get to 83 in some new maps :D but besides that amazing work good job! PS how do you create these maps? what program? ty in advance
Thank you! Maps are made with the help of the Siege Editor: www.nexusmods.com/dungeonsiege1/mods/49 Documentation: www.nexusmods.com/dungeonsiege1/mods/46
@@foerstj Thanks! Looks complicated tho. Are there any tutorials available? How long did it take you to make empire of stars? TY cheers! PS any way to donate? :D
@@sculpturebook6605 The tutorials are in the linked documentation. Otherwise no significant tutorials exist. They go into considerable depth tho. Also a lot can be leared by opening the original maps in the editor. And there's a "Kingdom of Ehb" Discord discord.com/channels/373223103985090581 that you can join for help. Admittedly the initial learning curve is steep, but imho rewarding. Empire of Stars was made within a year, doing one planet each month. It was not my first map. And I saved quite some time & effort by copying & adapting original regions instead of building my own from scratch. And uuh I don't have any donation thingy, it's just a hobby, but if you want to buy me a coffee I won't stop you 😄paypal johannes@famfoerstner.de 😄

Yes, also multiplayer, and the latest version available on NexusMods also supports Veteran & Elite!

Great video! I subscribe.
Nice video
Dares to confuse me with Reinhart Manx.... Unacceptable.
Catching up on this. It's an interesting demonstration of the ways NOT to spice up a Dungeon Siege map. It only functions when it's just sticking to the script.
Enjoy watching! Hope you also like my series of Loridan :)
@@foerstj Yep, I'll be starting that very soon. Gosh, I'd sure like to make a DS map of my very own. A really big and grand one.
@@TAPASandStuffProductions The only way to ever make your grand map is to make a smaller map first. I recommend joining the Kingdom of Ehb Discord, and following the Siege University Tutorial.
I love Loridan...
Dungeon Siege ein richtig schöner Klassiker
This is really cute foerstj
The rainbow-spewing quadscale is intense. What's the origin of that rainbow attack? If you didn't comment on it I suppose it's just another LoA thing I don't remember. Ah, nice, you had your witches summon the air and water spirits! Witches are awesome. Some of my favorite opponents in the game, keep you on your toes with all the summoning.
There's a spewing quadscale, I think it's called Swarmling Queen and I think it's from LoA, it spews in green color. I played around with the effect, and when I finally understood how it works I realized I could make it spew in rainbow colors, and the Lupine Hills seemed just the right place for it
That's awesome.
That's one hell of a castle. And so many long bridges spanning foggy chasms, can't go wrong with that. Of course, everywhere in Dungeon Siege is foggy.
Did I see some cute little mini-scorpions now and then? Are those in LoA? I've been skimming the DS wiki and realizing I completely forgot a lot of LoA enemies. Do the scorpions get that tiny in the game...? Anyway, I like them here. Thicket FULL of giant skrubbs?! Oh, that is insanity. I love it. Your thick vegetation is always a treat for the eyes. They probably couldn't have pulled that off when the game came out in 2002.
Yeah the scorpions are from LoA, from some jungle
Wow! I have to give you major compliments for combining the "crystal tunnel" area type with the "ice cave" type, it's really brilliant and those are both some of my favorite environments in the game anyway. The ice shards are a great retool of a classic foe, and the trogs and lungers work pretty well. And, WOW, the ice river is a shockingly good idea, props to that guy...
These dripping caverns were always my favorite environment type. I like your call to go without the crystals, makes the place more gloomy. Throwing in Chitterskrags among the area type's usual enemies was a nice touch to spice things up!
Good Job! 🙂
Fun environment, really spicy enemy variety... some traditionally-snowy enemies in this lush forest, the skull guys that look like regular skulls was surpisingly striking. And I like the cave giants, it's weird that in all the official campaigns they're only for summoning, so I do relish the chance to fight them. Pairing them up with killer krug dogs (and giant chickens, it seems) was a nice touch too. You've established the society of a creature that never even appears in the real game, nice work there. :D
Hehe, giant flying shracks are just my vibe! Too bad they sometimes just don't attack... but I suppose that adds to the trippy atmosphere of this weird and bizarre detour. In and out with a replica "humble farmer" as a new companion... Truly strange! The lighting, the underground farmlands, even little things like the snappers nowhere near water, it's all very dreamlike. (which I see is what the word "sweven" means, just looked it up, nice) Awww, yeah, and giant skrubbs too! I was so shocked the first time I saw those in the Editor. Excellent job putting them to use here. You're really making me want to try my hand at doing something with Dungeon Siege besides just playing it, I'll tell you that much. :D
Good job, Firstie!
Nice! After my previous comment, this was the kind of creativity I felt had dipped for a moment. Instead of emerging from the mines into the snow, you've got this great new biome... as I've noticed on one of your previous maps, the way you load some areas with way more plant life than any canon area is really stunning. And in this forest, a nice mix of enemies from all corners of the game. The cyclops wielding a troll club is a surprisingly compelling visual, and the huge cyclops boss is inspired. Hey, here's an idea - I like the simplicity in the only quests being mini-bosses, but I noticed the quests only activate when you FIND the boss. Maybe instead you should have characters in towns and shelters who warn you about the bosses, and they get added to the journal then? That way seeking them out feels more like a quest. Oh, wow, the music got suddenly pretty groovin' in this area too! Haha.
Wow, I love the look of a flourishing underground dwarf city! There's nothing like that in the base game. Was it inspired by Lands of Hyperborea? Sorry, I don't know much about the 20-year history of Dungeon Siege custom maps, I just saw a playthrough of Hyperborea once. Quite a bit more than just a custom map, that one. Ah, around the 5-minute mark I hear you explaining the set design a little. It's really compelling, the look of it really drew me in, very different from standard DS stuff. Haven't seen any fun new enemies since the beginning, though!!
The set design of Umberdeep was inspired by Miner's Haven, followed by desperate attempts to make it look nice 😁 The next area will have some more conventional enemies, finally returning to the topic of trolls. I think you'll like the enemies of the Blackwood Gap then.
I had this thought earlier, but, it sure seems like this map progresses through the various stages of the Kingdom of Ehb/Utraean Peninsula areas pretty quickly. It seems early to be in the Glitterdelve/Crystwind equivalent, but the characters are able to handle it. Do you have the enemies set to give extra experience to make the map shorter? Or is my sense of time just off?
The enemies give the usual amount of XP. Maybe I hack through them relatively swiftly because it's not my first playthru, I've tested the map a few times while building it, and I know exactly where I'm going, so I guess that's what makes me go fast
All right! I'm back to watching this, I have a backlog to catch up on now. Ah, I see you're starting to pick up some Legends of Aranna magic items, I can tell from the magic auras on the charcters. I've discovered that the steam version of Dungeon Siege has to be hacked into Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna in order to actually finish the Ehb campaign! I'm glad I didn't know that until I got to the end, as I like that I played the Ehb map with vanilla mechanics, but now I'm looking forward to playing the Aranna campaign after I do that, it's been a very long time. Hm... you mentioned that you used jungle textures for some areas of the forest, I assume that's an Aranna asset, isn't it? And yet, I've just realized, you never see Zaurask or Hassat in custom maps, just the usual Ehb enemies. Yeah... I remember I once had the Siege Editor... is it not possible to include Legends of Aranna content in custom material??
Yes you can use all LoA assets in the Siege Editor. I didn't use any Hassat or Zaurask here because they wouldn't fit in lorewise, but you'll meet a bunch of LoA animals. I've used Zaurask in EoS and Zaurask are also used in LoU. And Loridan has a nice canyon with Trog and Hassat
Wow! The Droog architecture with the jungle texture is really impressive. I love how well it works. What a neat idea! And no enemies in the ruins either, that's a nice touch, I love those rare moments when Dungeon Siege does that, just lets locations be atmospheric and mysterious so you can really contemplate them. Very true to the spirit of the game.
Really fun! Love the custom enemies, and the scenery is great. Excited for more.
Wow. The Goblin Warrens, but outdoors. How elegant in its simplicity! It looks stunning.
This one was very exciting! Looks like it wasn't your intent, but the vegetation, the blue mist, and the combination of cave and desert enemies gave it an underwater vibe, that'd be one crazy Dungeon Siege adventure if someone leaned into that...
I'm non-thoroughly skimming this, but your ice enemies are very inspired! And I've for sure been reading all of your descriptions about your process, pretty awesome.
Digging your content! Nice to see some cool new stuff coming out of this old game. Your set design in this particular chapter is really stunning!
Oh, you have more video of Dungeon Siege LoA. I visit you back.
Enjoying the series thus far! I find it funny as a swede that you named places to Lagomsnö and Jävlakallt.
Heja svennebanan! 😁🇸🇪
I find it compelling that you have made your own twist on Dungeon Siege this far. Will be fun to see how it develops in later episodes :)
Intresting! Will be following this play through as it is rare that a new overhaul for Dungeon Siege is released. This one doesn't look shabby :)
It's good to see modding for good ol dungeon siege is still alive and kicking.
