Hey mate! Look i was under the impression the isolator must be on in order for it to be connected to the battery. This is how I’ve been using it regardless for the last couple years. Hope this helps but the idea of an isolator is to isolate the battery from the circuits so i can only assume this is the case. So as far as I’m aware and have been doing so i always have the isolator in the on position when charging! Thanks for checking out the video

Interesting i have found this may or may not be the case but when my isolator is off accessories off the batterybox may still run when my car is running i assume this is due to the switch that activates based on voltage. It seems the isolator only affects the battery but there is some sort of bypass straight to the appliances seems like a strange design but maybe one of those voltmeter switches could help you out was only about $50 for me

Hey mate! Great choice! Especially with a lithium battery Anderson is totally worth it! Fortunately i was having a spotlight install new head unit and my cb radio so got it done by an auto sparky however im under the impression its relatively easy but i aint no auto sparky 😂 hope that helps!

@ryanmartin170 no i never have because i had a voltmeter that switches off and allows my starter battery to not drain when it drops to a particular voltage.. for the sake of $50 it was a no brainer

Yep wood is very expensive these days! There are limited spots in Perth area to get wood but you can buy the permits for them online and visit the location yourself if you don’t mind a bitta work to cut it up and split yourself ✌🏼

Awesome tips mate! Im looking to sort something between the 2 centre arms did you just use a oztrail pole from bcf? Otherwise my other possible option was going to be a kings swag pole?

Yes I used the oztrail aluminium adjustable twistlock tent poles. Can buy oztrail spigots to replace caps at other end so you have spigot each end. The mk2 awning actually has rubber blanks inside the arms to pop them out and spigots go right in. Just pay attention to what size spigots you need think they come in 16, 19, 21mm inner pole sizes.

I love your thinking but I got these second hand. Luckily enough walls are one of those features alot of people do buy and hardly ever use.. for example in the case where i bought them from so i would definitely advise not only in awning walls but awnings in general people buy them with good intention of using them but then find they don’t use it as often and often part ways some good deals out there!
