      I call it SongVisualizer, and it's in pygame. It's my own custom software that I've been writing almost daily for 2+ years now. It's private, but if you know Python then you can copy me. But don't, because this comment will come back to haunt me, and why I don't do comments often :) Or just stick around if I ever figure a way out to convert Private to Public in a logical manner

      Hello, if I could give you a recommendation as well, it would be to try out my Software if it were not Private. Every note I pluck is logged into a JSON format. So each Measure has Each note's string , fret, notelength documented with the Measure's Tempo, so I can go to a screen in my software and click "Dynamic Tempo" which will read X number of my recent JSON files to determine a dynamic tempo to play next time. So dude, I'll do what I've been doing. You do what you're doing. If you write a comment, make it worthy of a reply.

    • @kyleabent
      @kyleabent หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, Yes.. this is KSE, I have quite a lot of Sessions on KSE in my project. I've never played KSE songs before trying them in this project. I've never tried Drop C before this project. I've had to define each frequency, then get the note detection working, now when I play I alter the tempo of each measure so I can hit 100% of notes, then each time I play the tempo is altered based on my previous playthrough. So quite a few sessions have made me learn KSE so much between 3 of their albums. I think I've improved a lot since I first started playing.

    What does your software compare your frequencies against? Does it read the tabs as the source? Reference backtrack where original guitar is in isolation?

    • @kyleabent
      @kyleabent หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, thanks for your comment. In regards to my software I have an input and an output. The input is the guitar itself, a thread that runs while the main game loop is running. This is detecting the current guitar frequencies, and tracking them in one way or another. I've called the output frequencies output because I have a json file which defines the strings individually, and the string and fret combinations for chords. I've tried to demo this a few times across a few sessions. I'm not really making much sense in the way I describe it here. But basically I've had to manually define every string and fret combination for each note manually. The software reads guitar pro 5 files in regards to each measure and each measure's notes, frets, strings, lengths, effects, etc. Well, my comment is getting large.. Just write back and I can keep replying.

I already wrote a length description trying to cover any mistakes. Such as M3 not M1, and V1 of FileSync having network calls each checksum validation. Blah blah blah. Enjoy cya next time lol. Edit: there could also be more demo to do but in this video I was verify specific on batch download stats file only. AHH!.

    Hello Kyle, Greetings from Brazil! I'm coding a game that has the same concept of yours, but for bass guitar specifically, i'm doing it for completion of course work of my university, I'm also using Python with Pyguitarpro. My interface is quite different too because i'm trying to put the tablature on the screen, my goal is to make something like the GoPlayAlong does but with feedback on whether the user is hitting the notes correctly. I'm having some trouble mapping the time of the notes based on their beat.start, and was hoping to find the solution, I can see that you are very experienced with this libraries because of the nice project you have there. Could you please help me with this note time formula? The one I'm using currently is this: 'time': beat.start/(song.tempo/60) It matches the first notes of the song but at some point it starts getting off time, I noticed on some notes in the middle of the song something like 5 seconds of discrepancy. My project is in github /brunodewes/BassLearningTool if you'd like to take a look. Very nice app you made by the way, it must have taken a lot of work, congratz man!!

      1) Don't use song tempo if each measure can alter the tempo, unless you update the song tempo when a measure changes its tempo too 2) Manually define each note start and end time by knowing its length in time and accumulating each one by one Hello, this is my 2nd or 3rd draft of this comment. I did not expect to have a comment from someone who is also programming a similar project. I see your git, not sure I'll look into it other than writing comments here. @@kyleabent i did notice that tempo is a property of the song in pyguitarpro lib (song = guitarpro.parse(tab_file)), I don't know how to get all different tempos in a song (if i try to acess measure.tempo i get Unresolved attribute reference 'tempo' for class 'Measure' ), so right now my tool only works for songs that doesn't have tempo changes. I don't know how to deal with tabs that have segments playing on loop either.

      thank you. Yes, I am constantly modifying the notation by altering the tempo. I hook up my guitar, it logs the notes I hit and miss. I've been getting 86% accuracy with slow tempo. Recently in the Session 379-Session 385 I have boosted the tempo based on these playthroughs. So the measures have sped up. My goal is hitting 100% of notes!

      I don't remember. What I did was take the GP5 tab and convert it. I didn't do anything other than convert the pre-written notation and synced it to the official audio. I found the tab on Ultimate-Guitar, which I don't recommend unless you like power abusing moderators.

      Hey, I'm confused by this comment. Super Mario riffs? Well, the way I wrote my program is to accept any gp5 file. So if there's a file for it then my program can open it.

      I'll take this over an insult any day. If it's impressive that I wrote and maintain this program to help me play, then i'll take it. If my playthrough is not impressive, i'll take that too. My scoring algorithm tells me what notes I hit and miss, so I can always improve the areas I need to the most (in combination with dynamic bpm). Thanks for the support!

    i wonder how long i accidentally had the input set to +4 which messed up the Drop C on top of the mud. So after the E Flat at the start, skip to the E Standard. Forget about the Drop C for now lol. BTW ill be trying to stream often on chat and all that feel free to say hi in chat and ill chat back.

      Hey, I wish I could be of more help, I've been struggling to have my program show the notation move smoothly, whereas these videos it's quite jittery. I'm working on it. Also note, I slowed and modified the tempo. Maybe one day I can share the program, but until then if the video helps then I hope that's the case. This song is extremely fun, uses the entire fretboard. LMK if there's anything i can do.

      Hi, yes I am writing my own Python project using PyGame, PyGuitarPro. This is just the SongVisualizer where I can open GP5 files. You should see the SongCreator, which Generates files. I already have two albums written and recorded by this program. I've been writing 1.5 years more since then. Thanks.

      Hello, I am developing Software which I plug my Guitar Into. The program detects my frequency and determines whether the note is a hit or miss, and outputs to a JSON file. From there I can alter the tempo dynamically. So yes, I am recording my practices, I am okay with how I sound as I listen to each session. Thanks.
