Yes, we dont call Allah as our father, but in the past maybe people did. For example Hashem is the name Jews use for God, but at the time of Jesus they didn't use this term. I have read 1 john 5:20 from the whole sentence the last part is refering to Father not Jesus. But i can understand it can be interperted both way.

I totally understand where you are coming from. Yes i do agree there are verses especially in john than can interpret jesus to be divine. But we also have many clear verses to show Jesus has a god and the father is the only true God. I hope you can look into some books by bart erhman. He gave a very good insight no how to bible was put together and the difference in manuscript etc.

Are you Muslim or not? Just so i know how to answer you. If you are Muslim you didn't provide one evidence from quran or sunnah for shirk in hakimeeyah. If you not Muslim, we pay our taxes and we are entitled to everything we get. Living under a democracy does not mean we have to participate in its elections. Even in democracy law people are excluded from voting due to religious reasons, some Christians and Jews don't vote in a democracy also due to religious reasons.

@@thedawahvan The issue is one of unity and togetherness, I understand that the view of voting to some Muslims as well as other ideas in the Koran and hadith are viewed as not acceptable, My overall position is that change be, that Islamic reform of certain beliefs as some brothers believe can only be a positive in acceptance of Islam in the wider community. I respect your position in relation to man made laws, but change in a political sense can be achieved through voting (although I at times doubt it)

May Allah reward you i totally understand your position. The argument i got from the Scholars is that, we can only bring victory through what is allowed in the quran and sunnah. Even though other ways might seem good as well, but Islam is superior, so to refer to anything else is less superior and waste of time. Especially when shirk is involved, shrik is not allowed no matter how great the results might seem. Also we have seen in the last few decades no benefits has came from democracy. Is a lie.

@thedawahvan baarakallaahu feekum, it was reported that shaikh ibn uthaimeen retracted his opinion allowing it shortly before he passed away accirding to a student of his, may Allaah have mercy on he shaikh. Shaikh ibn baz rahimahullaah and others also changed their opinions either for or against it. However, when we are faced with ikhtilaf, we go back to the evidences. As for videos, some scholars have said they are worse since they are many separate, individual still photos put together and are even more realistic when that is done. Allaah knows best, and may He show us the truth as truth and to follow it, and baatil as baatil and to stay away from it

Democracy, or majority rule by men casting votes, is kufr (disbelief) Allaah azza wa jalla said, إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ ۚ أَمَرَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ Indeed, the hukm ( ruling, command, judgement) is for none but Allah. He has commanded that you worship none but Him (i.e. His Monotheism), that is the (true) straight religion, but most men know not. 12:40 إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَعَلَيْهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ Verily! The hukm (decision, ruling, command) rests only with Allah. In Him, I put my trust and let all those that trust, put their trust in Him." 12:68 These aayaat prove that Allaah Almighty is the One with sovereign authority to legislate, not people. We must follow His legislation, not make up our own laws. This is a form of worship to Him. Disobeying His legislation is sinning and disobedience, and if one believes it is permissible to disobey or disregard His legislation or replace it with another legislation, this is disbelief. So if we do try to participate in voting, parliament, and democracy, it is a form of shirk (polytheism), as one is aiding those trying to be a rival to Allaah azza wa jall. Democracy in different forms was practiced before and during the time of the prophet sallalaahu alayhi Wasallam and the sahabah, and it was rejected as a form of government by them as well. So we must call the people to tawheed and leaving off shirk, and sunnah and leaving off innovations.

Those verses are stating that the constitution rule(s) are only by Allah so what Allah have ruled then it should be followed perfectly... The problem of western democracy is in 2 parts ; #1 , the base voters will elect the head which is not within Islamic government system but only the ( Shorah ) which the top head leaders of muslims will elect their prince among them only !... #2 , The western democracy system is forcing both participant sides to follow the winner in the election which is in-line with Islamic system but the problem is if the winner is not a muslim , what will happen now ?1... Muslims are ordered not to follow but only muslim leaders and this is the main rejection excuse for muslims not to participate in the voting unless they are 100% that a muslim guy will win so to follow and this is very rare to happen in the west since muslims are very minority... @ahmedalshalchi no, it does not matter if it is a muslim or non muslim country, all types of democracy is kufr, and the proofs are clearly in those aayaat. As far as shora or shura, this is not the same as democracy, as the shura (consultation) does not go against the sharee'ah, and the shura members are muslims and knowledgeable, and the leader can still go against their recommendations or advice afterwards, where in democracy, the total opposite happens, the voters are the masses of people, the sinner (taalih) is equal by vote to the righteous (saalih,) and they help the system change the laws which go against islam. So for instance, even if muslims were in the lands of disbelief and a candidate who claims to be a muslim runs for office and say i will help islam and i will ban alcohol and drugs etc, this is still shirk, because Allaah azza wa jall Only has the authority to say what is halal ana haram, so now these people unjustly grant themselves this authority either by voting for the law in sonething already legislated by Allaah, the Sovereign Legislator, or voting for candidates who will change the laws, so this is setting themselves up as rivals to Allaah ta'ala. See the following hadeeth: The Messenger of Allah recited this Ayah; ﴿ ٱتَّخَذُوٓاْ أَحۡبَارَهُمۡ وَرُهۡبَـٰنَهُمۡ أَرۡبَابً۬ا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ﴾ (9:31) (They took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allah). `Adi commented, "I said, `They did not worship them.''' The Prophet said, « بَلَى إِنَّهُمْ حَرَّمُوا عَلَيْهِمُ الْحَلَالَ وَأَحَلُّوا لَهُمُ الْحَرَامَ فَاتَّبَعُوهُمْ فَذَلِكَ عِبَادَتُهُمْ إِيَّاهُم » (Of course they did. They (rabbis and monks) prohibited the allowed for them (Christians and Jews) and allowed the prohibited, and they obeyed them. This is how they worshipped them.) So no to democracy, no matter what its disguised to look like. We ask Allaah azza wa jalla for safety

yes they know them. i dont know if anyone has advised them. Many Boxing and MMA gym now for muslims and they all fight i have not seen or heard anyone spoke against it. When I privatly asked for a fatwah from super salafi, my question was ignored.
