    I was doing a job in Ireland a few years ago and was able to make it over to London on one of my trips. I wished I had gotten to see more of the countryside, but with only one trip, I wanted to see all the history in London. People all want the same basic things. Food, shelter, and good company. It's all down to how we get there.

    I can relate big time. You just need to find your zen places. Mine is my wife, video games (moderation), relaxing and getting away from people. I find if I'm stuck around the same people for long enough they start to really bug me and I just need to get away from them for a while atleast, even if I love them. Living in Asia gives me that freedom since it's way more affordable to travel around. I'm fortunate today, and I thank God often for this.

    Faith without religion is like fuel without a car. First understand what you are. As a simian whose evolutionary trajectory favors cooperation and group dynamics God is never a "personal" matter. What one believe the universe is and ones relation to it has a drastic influence on what an individual and by extension society believes. A society that allows total freedom of religion will always champion the most disgusting vices as the highest virtues and current American society is living proof of the cost of such prideful heresy. Religion is not between man and God. There is never a time when man and God are seperated despite what the Atheist or the Theist will tell you. Religion is a social contract with divinity and we all have a role to play in it's maintenance.

      Perhaps in other religions the relationship between God and man is a social contract, but my Teacher says: Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

    I think faith is an expression of imagination but also importance only humans need to have. In my mind it played a major part in forming our minds and culture. That is in it's "innocent" spiritual form. RELIGION is not innocent, it is always about power and basically a perversion of faith. Religion is not "free" or natural. It always has a caste of people that will tell you about their interpretation of the "holy text". So it is kinda dangerous and one of the main reasons why we are facing so many difficulties at the moment. Just imagine Rom without Christianity, guess the dark ages would not have been that dark. Maybe it will be the nail in our coffins for it contradicts reality and creates conflicts/divides us. To me this divide is one of the major problems in the world we are living in and the challenges we apparently fail to face. Modernisation and religion combined took away our adaptability and common grounds - our greatest assets as an species. Also 11:55 - why is the world ending? I never heard of that. We are failing in preserving our quality of life, damaging our ecosystem and slowly getting rid of democracy for some (idk how to call it) "freedom" we all don't need. Because it is not freedom but dependency. In my opinion, humanity has never been weaker and more delusional while knowing what is going on. ( I also blame the internet for that) But the world will endure for long after we are gone. This is fact. Humans were never a necessity, nor will they ever be. On the other side, there is no better time to live an egotistical lifestyle walking all over others. We made being a sociopath into an necessary skill for success. So yeah, this also goes for religion. Just imagine the sheer egoism in the fact that the church is using technology but is still condemning people for their sexuality out of their old fashioned beliefs. Like it's cool to be modern if it is beneficial for you. To sum my 5 cents up, faith is an expression of our imagination and religion is the enemy. To know someone is following a religion tells me automatically that he is fine with suppressing the rights of other people for his own spiritual benefit. That is also sadly a fact.

    Faith is the excuse people give when they do not have evidence. If you have evidence you just present it. Reasonable expectation based on evidence. That is useful, we call this 'trust' or 'Confidence'. Faith is useful to exactly no one, it is simply false hope. Why false? As the definition says it is belief without evidence. By definition false hope. If it is true of not. And you have no way of knowing, however the default position is to not make a claim about the cosmos. This means you say "I do not know" to the god question. People claim to believe it, though belief is not a choice, you are convinced or you are not. And you can be convinced for bad reasons. Like a lack of evidence. You can see how the logic comes together. Or at least I hope people can.. This is why I will say "I do not know if there are god or gods." rather then "There are no gods." I am however somewhat convinced there are no gods. But it is not a claim I am making, only a personal opinion based on a life of assessing the evidence or lack therof. And in alot of cases against. Logically and rationally.

    luck doesn't exist. Humans can't fathom incredibly high degrees of probability so we discount simple probability by calling it luck. For example, if 10 million people chose a number between 1 and 1 million, it's a near certainty that a random correct number will be picked. A guarantee. But if you're that 1 person--they'll go "oh my god I'm so lucky!". When, in fact, they're not lucky in the slightest, zero. It's this strange interpretation of probability that if it's less than 1/100 it basically equals zero. There are billions of people on earth, and 1 in a billion things happen frequently. Someone could be in 7 car accidents in one day--in fact, that probably happens every day. Bad luck? No, standard probability. Luck doesn't exist.

    • @Stupiditree
      @Stupiditree 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Word, nor does it have to. It's a made up word for something we feel has to be there - so again just a wacky way of humans being sure that they are "more". All the while probability reigns supreme.

I'm basically scared I'm going to phuck everything up 24/7. I have a violent edge that I'm just trying to keep in check...but because I'm scared of the outcome of becoming violent, I just don't want to try and deal with people in general. There is no easy fix for this like exposure...I would end up in jail.

    Keep strong dude, everything you've mentioned I've made it my absolute task to face 7 years ago, I gave up on everything. Dentists, art, music, gym. Had crippling social anxiety to the point, I'd want to cry, just knowing I'd have to leave the house the next day, because I felt, like I was dying. My clothes were worn, faded and reflected my feelings. Now.. I still have bad days, but I made it my task to visit the busiest possible place (a city) once a week, buy new clothes and attend all my appointments with a smile, even if the smile is not for me. But I promise you one thing, if you want all those ladies to keep smiling at your gigolo perfected hair. You have to write down everything that's on your stress list on paper and tackle them furiously, one by one before your hair falls out like mine did that took 2 years to get back. I promise you, life will get better for you if you swear by this old saying: "you have to face your fears" Start writing that list and crossing things off that have been stressing you out as you go head to head and tackle them my freind

    • @fourshore502
      @fourshore502 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      its not only about facing fears but about avoiding crap. im not saying to avoid everything of course, but there is a lot of bad stuff out there that we should avoid if we can, especially if we are sensitive. i do not think we should try to de-sensitize ourselves. my life experience so far (could be wrong) is that the avoiding is just as if not more important than the facing. lets say you have a scummy co-worker for example that constantly bothers you and others and causes a toxic work environment. you can face the fear of talking to the boss, you can face the fear of telling him to stop ( you should ) but chances are he will never change, or even get worse, and he will very likely pull you down to his level. its also possible that other co-workers will side with him for one reason or another and say that YOU are the problem. its better then to avoid him as much as possible and if you cant get him to change or quit, quit yourself, the sooner the better. not to mention avoiding commercials, propaganda, slimy salesmen, manipulative narcissists of all kinds etc. there are a lot of creatures out there that is just ready to pounce and dig their claws in, especially on sensitive, vulnerable people. so yeah, face your fears, but also, pick your battles wisely.

    I knew this girl in my class who said she was a poet and showed me her work and I complimented it but I could see the shallowness of it, word salad. Later on we were talking about PTSD and CPTSD as a small group discussion and she said in a very unnecessarily condescending way that she wouldn't understand being traumatized because she came from a upper middle class household, kind of showed, to me, how little of the human condition she actually understands, when you're young though you mostly tend to think of yourself and not others and things outside of yourself anyways.
