Super cute and one of the best tutorial crochet videos I've seen. You explosion so patiently. This is why i love TH-cam.
What hook brand is that it looks so funky haha 😮 I’m so curious to try it
Thank you so much girl!🤍
How do I make it smaller? Mine turned out huge for some reason
@@sarahlynn9151 if it’s too wide, do less rows of increases so you have less stitches. If it’s too deep, just do less rows of sc
@@alinnacrochets thank you!
Thank you! This is sooo much better. I'm a beginner and want to make one for my daughter and this is helpful 🙌🏾❤️
@@belleveHER of course 🥰
How do you get the foundation chain to stay stretchy like the rest of the beanie ? For some reason mine does stretch
@@Starusue I don’t. That’s why I use it as the top of my beanie lol
All I ask is for the lip smacking to stop ugh I could gouge my ears out!
If i don't want it curly at all? ... How many increase i should put? Or should i not put any ???
@@constanzagarcia3275 if you want the brim more straight, I would do (10 dc, inc) in the first round, (11 dc, inc) in the second , and then (12 dc, inc) in the last. That should help you widen it without the curls
i made a red one and it came out so cute tysm!💖
@@laurac3575 you’re so welcome sounds so cute ❤️
Thank you so much for the video, girl! I'm Brazilian and I managed to understand everything because you explain it very well. :))
@@sarah-ni5on this is so nice ☺️ thank you for commenting! I’m so happy it helped 🩷
Is there an easier way to start a magic circle? I can't seem to actually do it idk why I've seen a lot of tutorials
@@Tu_Amigo_14 you can chain 2 and work into the first chain as your magic circle. That is a lot easier with this type of yarn and I actually do this way more often nowadays
Trying this left handed is so hard 😭
omg this is so cute!! I'm making this for my beomgyu photocard
Hii may i know the measurements of the parts? (the circumference) I have different yarn and only have version 1 at the moment🥹 I want to make one for my friend.
@@moadania Hi so the long part is about 29.5 cm / 11.5 in and the starting chain is just long enough to fit around the grey part / base of the lightstick :)
Great tutorial! The only thing I struggled on was when it got to the frilly part, I was confused because I thought not doing any increases would leave SOME frills, but that might have just been me misunderstanding what you were saying! Lovely turtorial!
tysmmm for this tutorial!! making a ddeongbyeoli n hetmongi one for my friend n i >:D
@@gb-ik6mc of course 😍
I'm making this for cosplay purposes :) I love how clearly you explain and that written pattern in description is perfect addition 😌🫶
7:45 The blueberry was my second crochet that I finished, it looks weird in some ways
@@0oAnripuppywatching that’s totally normal haha you’ll get better!
@@alinnacrochets thank you!
so uh. funny story here. i crocheted myself one of these little guys some months back, and for my friend's birthday i decided to make her one as well, since she loved mine so much. i found the loops & threads royal velvet yarn and thought it looked so soft and beautiful, and bought some. i didn't know it was size 7 jumbo yarn. the recommended hook size was 19mm, i used a 10mm hook. his head is the size of a basketball. i like 'em big, i like 'em chunky !!

Not sure what happened. Mine came out too big. Gonna try again with a slightly smaller hook and hope for the best.
@@TOMANDJERRYRAN2GETHE it could be a difference in tension. It could help to measure it on your lightiny while you’re making the long piece
@@alinnacrochets I think so, too. I modified it. I'm making Hongjoong and Wooyoung. Thank you so much! I wasn't expecting a quick response. I just finished the cover. Gotta make the ears.
Omg After 8 hours (5:00 pm to 12:09 am) I still didn’t finish! tommorow I will finish it and probably buy safety eyes since I didn’t have any. I am so proud of myself of what I’ve done so far and you’ve been the best teacher yet! I love how u add lots of detail into how u do everything correctly which makes it a lot easier for beginners. Mine may not have turned out as perfect as yours, ( I can tell even when I just need to sew and make 3 more tentacles 🦑 🐙) but I’m still rapid and will continue to follow ur tutorials. U deserve a subscriber!❤🎉
@@Uarent yay I’m glad it helped! thank you for your sweet comment it means a lot to me 😊💕
@@alinnacrochets :)) no problem. I just finished it. I liked it more of an octopus so decided to do it like that :))
Thank you for this! Now I have a cute cat beanie to wear without having to buy one!
I have NEVER been able to make anything other than a simple blanket or scarf! I always try then give up very quickly, becoming super frustrated. I made my first amigurumi because of you! I definitely messed up a couple of times and it's not perfect, but it is a JELLYFISH! He has eyes, stuffing, tentacles, the works and I think it is now my favorite thing I have ever made (mistakes, quirks, and all!) I had tears of joy when I finished him, He has a rainbow body, purple and teal tentacles, and brown eyes. My 13-year-old son named him squiggles and is keeping him on his bookshelf. I've just orders more eye colors because of you as well, i didn't know they had so many different kinds! I never leave comments, but I just had to thank you!!
@@s.hooker1404 of course! Thank you for leaving such a sweet comment, I’m so glad it helped :)

@@AngeleeMueller-xs8ei of course 🫶🏻
Thank you Alina!!! I saw ppl with their crocheted light sticks in Oakland and so I want to make one for LA!
@@Ikaa3224 you’re so welcome! 💕
On round 6 where yours measures 19 and a half, would it make much difference if mine measured 18 and a half? And if so, how would I go about fixing it? Would I need to add more increases? Btw this hat looks so cute❤
thank you! If you want to make yours the same size as mine I would do a few more increases - (4 dc, inc) for round 6. You can measure around your head to see if you need a different size too - my head is about 21.5 in / 55 cm and the 19.5 is perfect for me :)
Oh my God, thank you for this, i've been learning crochet just so i can make cover for my lightiny.b
@@micchisusane4476 you’re welcome 💕
are you chaining 1 between your rows?

Omg! This is so cute I’m going to attempt this right now, but I want to make jjongbear. I’ll be at the July 31st show! I hope you have so much fun at the concert!!
@@amberj7537 period I’ll see you there!
when doing the circles, when you’re done you chain own right? How do you close it? I’m scared it’s going to unravel
@@xsophlouey yes I always chain 1 after slip stitching then snip the yarn
My head is pointy not round like yours
@@user-ei4mo7ot1q this is a common when the tension is too tight so you can try a looser tension, or you can try to “yarn under” instead of yarning over. That often helps with the shape
