Fantastic conversion. 👍 I slightly cringe at that melody I wrote. Apparently in the 80’s it wasn’t so noticeably annoying? 😂 Note: the game was originally called “Zero Zone” (where the player is trapped) which I thought was cool but the company changed it to ‘Auto’ zone making it sound like an auto parts company.

This looks so cool.. i always wondered why Capcom never made a version like this if it was technically feasible 🤔🤔

The 1989 Gameboy was an absolute powerhouse compared to these visuals and sounds. The soundchip can barely play a few hacked-off beeps that somehow remind of the legendary R-Type soundtrack. Was the NES really that bad and weak compared to all other consoles and handhelds of this era?

This is really impressive. Most other raycasters on NES had no textures, but this one looks phenomenal! It’s hard to believe this is running on an NES.

😂 только что прошёл эту мини игрушку. Мир похож, даже полого рыцаря в качестве босса добавили, но как-то маловато. Прошёл такой и " А это всё?" Оригинального Полого рыцаря на андроид портировали уже. Может и для эмуляторов gba, gbc точную копию сделают когда-нибудь

All you need to do to make an NES version of "R-Type" is to take the Game Boy Color game and port it over.
