Does it even sound different than regular old 12 EDO? Some people do not hear a difference. What do you think?

It sounds different to me because the beating is different from 12edo

@@emailer2539 That is an interesting observation. But also the melodic movement is different. In the melodic (horizontal across time) movement, sometimes the voice only move 1/124 step. My next post which will happen soon plays this one voice that does this in the left speaker.

@@richieshambharkar3938 I’m too self-conscious to share my source code right now there’s another one I’m working on. I’m a very bad programmer. I can get done what I wanna do but between programming, music theory and mathematics. I kind of suck at all of it, but I can do a little bit of all of it.

@@richieshambharkar3938 upon a night's sleep I have decided to learn how to share my code. It will open myself up to criticism, but it will allow hopefully collaboration and improvement towards the goal of microtonal music theory. The goal is a music theory for a continual sliding pitch scenario or in other words, infinite divisions to the octave. I am not sure how to make the link to share and upload my code. I will work on it.

I learned how to post source code. I did it in my last post. I put a link to that post here. Thank you so much for helping me improve.

Live 11 does microtones but the range goes down in a way as the divisions to the octave go up. It is due to the fact that there are only 127 midi assignments. That needs to be fixed.

My goal is tonal, micro, tonality whatever the heck that means something that is still tonal, but uses micro tones I’d like to keep the consonant major and minor triads, even when I am using micro tones

I took some music theory classes in college. I was a double major in math and music. It is no accident that it is like primitive baroque. The chord progressions are straight out of my theory text book. The microtonal chords are mixed in for a little spice. I truly believe in consonant triads LOL. When I use microtones I do not violate that desire.

@@mikey-rc7fo made in wolfram is crazy, I didn't even know you could do that but it makes so much sense considering the microtonal nature of the songs. And yw, i listened to some other stuff and like it too (and imo it would benefit from some drums / percussion, i now see why the songs dont have that either lol)

I finally gave in and bought Ableton. I have so much to learn about that software. What does imo mean?

@@icefaceH Well you seemed to like the passing tone approach to the microtonal progression. I just used that math of taking a simple average to come up with the passing tone chords. The middle between the old 12 tone chords. Just tell me what you want me to do and talk to me like a human the weather etc.
