Ajay and Nathan's 2024 State of the Film Address
On the Tuesday before Christmas Eve, Nathan and I decided to sit down to discuss the films that made 2024. Some of these films are great, while others not so much. While there are a couple of films that we haven't seen since they haven't been released yet, we will watch those films whenever they come out and update our year end list if need be. Other than that, sit tight, crack open a cold one, and enjoy as we delve into our 4th Annual State of the Film Address Presented by Kia.

Ajay and Nathan Discuss Kyle Mooney's Y2K
มุมมอง 156วันที่ผ่านมา
Nathan and I have just came back from that decrepit, soulless, rat-infested trash heap known as the movie theater to discuss the new A24 horror comedy film Y2K. Starring Rachel Zegler, Alicia Silverstone, and others. I didn't mention this in the review, but parts of it reminded me of the 2016 film Nerve. Do you agree? Do you disagree? Watch the review to find out! Stick around for next week's S...
Ajay and Nathan Discuss Sam Raimi's Oz The Great and Powerful (2013)
มุมมอง 12814 วันที่ผ่านมา
We're back this week! Here to discuss a film that will do us no favors for the TH-cam algorithm. Why are we discussing Oz the Great and Powerful? Well, it's always nice to venture out and feel as if we don't need to contractually be obligated to only discuss the biggest films at the moment. Maybe we will watch Wicked later this week. Or maybe not! How will you know? Subscribe to see if we truly...
Ajay and Nathan Discuss Ridley Scott's Gladiator II

On the week after the premiere of Glicked, we're here to discuss one of those movies. One is getting hyped at the box office, is considered a potential Academy Award nominated film for best picture, and stars a female singer in the lead role who has amassed a following bigger than god. The other is this film Gladiator 2. Enjoy! All Praises Due to Algorithm Socials: Instagram: ajay...
Ajay and Nathan Discuss Scott Beck & Bryan Woods' Heretic
มุมมอง 380หลายเดือนก่อน
Hey everyone! Hope everyone has had a great few days. We just came back from the theater after we watched Heretic. A film starring Hugh Grant as he drones on for nearly an hour about the most important things affecting the human mind such as Radiohead, The Hollies, Lana Del Rey, The Landlord's Game, Monopoly, Blueberry Pie scented candles, and Monopoly Bob Ross Edition. It was a fun film until ...
Ajay and Nathan Discuss Parker Finn's Smile 2
มุมมอง 253หลายเดือนก่อน
We're here to discuss a film that is long overdue. It is Smile 2 directed by Parker Finn. A 2 hour and some change film that made me personally (Ajay) kinda bored by the 3rd act because I was the only one in the theater. It was ok. Am I salty because M Night Shyamalan's Trap received a split reception while this is getting praised even though the films are eerily similar? Watch the review becau...

In honor of our Blast from the Past Series, as well as our Spirit of Halloween videos that we've been uploading due to the holiday season, we're back again to discuss a movie that is both neither that much from the past nor a Halloween movie. Today, we're discussing a new movie that caught our eye because the GOAT of directors M Night Shyamalan produced the film. It's titled Caddo Lake starring Dylan O'Brien and Eliza Scanlan. Really good show this week!! Great review of all this years best movies and flops !
Good film!!
#RebelMoon #RestoreTheSnyderverse
This was a good movie..def worth a watch. These guys review not top notch. Def compared to most of the shit that’s put out these days.
I love those time travel movies. I am on Ajay’s side 😁.
This review just saved me 15$. Not gonna see this one👍👍.
can ajay hold his mic closer please thanks
Phillips is more talented than both of you and probably everyone you know 😂 and the white guy has a level of arrogance that makes him insufferable to be around probably.
Best review yet! Great energy between you both. Funny shit! Great analysis on this movie and it’s characters .👍👍
Great review gentlemen👍👍.
I like how you try to understand the movie 🤔✌️ I hope you will wach all of them 👍 and record yourself watching it!!! 😜
The crow is also based on a comic book and The Remake deos not adapt the comic book like at all but the original actually is an adaptation of the comic book. Also, he’s literally wearing corpse paint guys. Jean Simmons wears corpse. the crow is a metal industrial punk rock and especially GOTH ,alternative story so slightly rock ‘n’ roll is intentional as well. Also, taking a dunk on the crow soundtrack is a really really bad take, especially since it’s known for being one of the best soundtracks. Every song on the soundtrack was picked by the original comic books creator, and every song was made by the band for the film don’t you dare compare to suicide squad Especially since they really do not have a single thing in common the remake maybe but totally Spider-Man in the crow don’t have anything like the comparisons you guys make are very moot and do not add up especially to alternative people for whom the crow is actually so fun of alternative people don’t cut ourselves. It’s actually really annoyingand it’s really insensitive And another detail all of the songs in the movie actually add an are important to the story of the film, actually listening to the lyrics helps but I also know people don’t listen to the lyrics and music anymore. People won’t even listen to album and I say this is someone who’s 22 years old , I mean I’m glad you guys are on the more positive end of things I guess but the take on the original just bad even though it’s a positive one. It’s like you guys don’t get the type of story you’re supposed to be reviewing at least as far as it goes with the original, you guys at least understand that the shitty remake of the Crow doesn’t hold a candle and doesn’t get the idea, appeal, aesthetic, setting, or subculture that the original was intended and aimed for If there’s any comparison to something like suicide squad, it’s because they try to aim things like suicide squad for an alternative audience, but truth of the matter is a lot of us if anything we really like suicide people with brains and cringe at the original, and yeah, comparing the crow soundtrack the original crow soundtrack to the suicide squad soundtrack is like Genuinely one of the worst takes. I’ve ever seen especially saying it just sort of happens which it doesn’t. I feel like the film set up the type of vibe for what it was supposed to be. I came out in 1994 the era of MTV, the influences from the comic books With the music are put into the music you hear is there it’s actually the alternative cultures and it’s everyone else as well
I loved twilight when it first came out!!!! Watching it now I can see that it was a bit lame. I’m glad you both talked about this. You’re review was funny.
I loved that movie guys. However, your take on it was great!!
Daddy would like some sausages
I was never a fan of this movie. However, after listening to the podcast I think I will give it a watch.👍👍
Great energy. I love Tom Greene in anything he does.
Glad to hear a fun review of the movie- I enjoyed the first half a lot! The second half was not as fun, but the backstory we got was at least interesting.
Love this podcast.
Great review! Thanks for sharing
hahaha loved this review. glad you guys acknowledged the insanity of the instagram live part lmao
I just saved myself 30$. Don’t have to see at least one of these two movies.
Great review. Two thumbs up. Gotta go see the movie.
Saw it last night, and absolutely loved it!!! And your review is articulate, on point and funnily SO COOL🎉😍👆
I never got around to this one! I'm gonna give it a watch tonight and come back to listen!
Every week it’s a bit different and unpredictable. Great energy and insight as usual👍👍
Another great review👍👍. Keep them coming.
Great energy between the two hosts👍👍
I am starting to get hooked on this podcast.
Hell yeah
Another great review ! Great chemistry between you both. Keep them coming👍👍
I watched the movie three times. twice for the acting and the atmosphere of those years. the third time after a frame-by-frame analysis of the film at the Esquire studio by Jeff and Tom. The film is great. 👍👍👍
I bonded with my "dorky" roommate because he saw me watching this by myself one day and it was the first thing we had in common all semester! Such a fun movie honestly, a classic superhero movie for my childhood. Looking forward to listening to these!
Thanks for the review, guys! I think this movie is great and I hope it will find its audience!
Great podcast. You two offer real good insight with a comedic flair!! Keep them coming👍👍
Great podcast and insight that the average movie goer can really appreciate .👍👍
I get what you’re saying but the bottom line is this. They forced venom into that film against Sam’s wishes and he was forced to create a story which he didn’t feel personally invested in and whither you want to admit it or not I can feel that when I watch this movie. There are scenes I love in this movie but objectively compared to the other two it doesn’t hold up. They took the opportunity to show Peter delve into darkness with an addiction story and instead we got cringy dancing and a fake emo. This movie was not good and I’m sick of every single person on the internet defending every mediocre thing possible. Fnaf movie sucked. Thor love and thunder sucked. Spider-Man 3 mostly sucks and I’m sick of the defense. It is objectively not as good as the other two. The character arcs sucks. The way they treat the symbiote sucks. The way venom was portrayed sucks. Then forcing the whole sandman killed uncle Ben last minute into the third film in a trilogy sucked. Sorry but I’m sick of people defending mediocrity
Two grown men sitting around talking about tobeys performance, what a waste of life, shameful
Shut up
Peter deserved someone better than MJ
Do what he says, Parker, that man could conquer the planet on an hour.
My quote would be “Fun but not funny” great guest!
Great film and great takes
It's a mad max movie without max wtf Nobody wants this trash.
Hey neo take that red pill and take a hike you hack!!
Garbage
Hey Jesse (dumb name) this movie was amazing and you’re an idiot!
Wow, what a pod!!
Thanks man!
That’s a great review!! A lot of well placed humor and in-depth knowledge of the movie.👍👍
Great insight. Keep the reviews coming👍👍
Had potential and the first half was really good and creepy af but the ending was trash. Nowhere near the best film of 2022 LMAO!
