Ox Baker looked like a cross between a pirate and a caveman. Straight out of a horror movie (Escape From New York, to be exact). He had serious mobility problems at different times in his career, but as far as looks went, he was terrifying.
rip
Man, at most, Bobby would’ve been 29 or 30 here.
Ox is a legendary heel.
wow there were black people in the crowd
First
The Ox is a beast.
These dudes were beasts and animals
No matter how hard I search, I cant find any background information on the famous "Bad Boy Joe". Where is George Schire when you need him?
Crusher is a terrible promo lol
Bad Boy Joe? What a name!
Art Thomas was a very large man. But damn, Bobo Brazil just dwarfs him.
Portland legend.
Argentina APOLLO E MUITO LINDO E SUPER MÁSCULO E FORTE ❤️❤️❤️
Wow, Lewin and Curtis are totally dominant tag team heels! After they totally beat their opponents tehy continue to humiliate and punish them both at 5:05 so aggressive ruthless and humiliating. Total dominance! Thanks for posting these part 1 & 2 matches!
Jake Roberts sent me here
Antonio Roca was so ahead of his time he does moves most wrestlers today don't do today
I thought his character name was "Argentine Apollo." He was barefoot, and he did backflips that were exciting. I was about 12 years old when I saw him. Would have probably been watching Florida Wrestling with Gordon Soley (sp?) the announcer, and at the end Soley would say, "So long from the Sunshine State." And the local TV station would end it's programming day at midnight on Friday and the test pattern would pop up on the TV screen until 6 am Saturday morning, when "Sunrise Theater" would show two "back to back" sci-fi/horror movies until 9am.
Superstar Billy Graham influenced many wrestlers, but rarely got the recognition.
Johnny Valentine was a beast!
My grandfather
This is why the Road Warriors respected him so much. He was built like them and cut good promos.
He sounds like Captain Lou
Who's the bare feet wrestler?
Absolutely beautiful muscle wrestling stud Betancourt gets destroyed by Poffo.
Great win for the former GI Wilbur Snyder
Poor Demarco
Priceless footage.
Jim Cornette brought me here
Thanks for posting. I was telling some guys about him. I showed this to my son. We talked about AOP and the Road Warriors
Moose Chocolate won!
I only heard of Frank Valoit from Ken Patera's Andre The Giant drinking contest story. Nice to see the face behind the name.
Growing up in Detroit, Larry Chene was a childhood hero.
Somebody please tell Vince McMahon Jr that this was truly “wrestling entertainment!”
And the Bobby Heenan Ham & Egger Award goes to....Bad Boy Joe!
I always thought the young Lions were an underrated team that could’ve been big if it hadn’t been for bruiser‘s lack of willingness to push anybody but himself. These guys had it all speed agility wrestling ability they could talk a little specially regal. And they had to look. Question for anyone out there, supposedly the fabulous ones and the lions win a one hour draw in Tennessee does anyone have the tape of that match or know if that match ever actually happened.
My grandfather Chiefs big heart
Poor Lane. Such a beautiful man and sad that he got beat up all the time.
Absolutely beautiful Bobby Bell destroyed by the Sheikh
The fans really got their money's worth back then. So much going on even when not wrestling!!
heenan used his anger at how badly the bruiser trated him, to make great tv.
Is Mae West actually Mae Young? I think it is
Valentine the face? Leskowski the heel? Different times and I don’t care….go CRUSHER
He was very famous and well-loved in Hawaii in the 1960s.
Meneker looked a thousand years old.
Still hot and awesome now
That ring was dangerous to work in. Even back then, there was no excuse for it.
youtube.com/@Wilma_Edna_gordon- 👈 That lady and mother weston's sister
I met cowboy bob Kelly as a very young kid. I watched him to the bulldog maneuver 👍😂
I loved Paul's interviews they are legendary
