Aviation Avenue
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 9 ส.ค. 2021
Hello Everyone! My name is Braden Piscopo, and I am a 16 year old aviation enthusiast from Orange County, California. My love of aviation all started back in 2009 when my parents to me to the Miramar Airshow at MCAS Miramar in San Diego, California. After that show, I instantly fell in love with all things aviation! My Grandpa also was a huge help in my passion for aviation. He would take me to the Gillespie Field Airport in El Cajon, California. We would watch all the aircraft land and takeoff. I will always remember that for the rest of my life! I mostly spend my time at the Planes of Fame Air Museum at the Chino Airport in Chino, California attending their amazing aviation events as well as volunteering from time to time. I truly love being a part of that awesome place and history ! I also go to many different airshows across California, including Miramar and the Pacific Airshow! Here, on Aviation Avenue we will talk all things aviation related. I hope you all enjoy the content!!!
P-38 Lightning talk with Richard J Malvino
Here is some footage I got while visiting Planes of Fame on Saturday for their monthly hangar talk and flying demo event. This month, the museum flew their P-38 Lightning. There was also another P-38 that joined up with the museums and flew in formation. That was incredible to see and it was a job well done by the two pilots. Richard J Malvino, a docent at the museum, gave an incredible speech about the aircraft to the amazing audience. There was also the 7th Annual Ed Maloney Scale Model contest. I unfortunately did not win, however, it was so fun to build/enter the models as well as see everyone else’s work. Congratulations to all the first place winners in all the categories!! It certainly was a great day and an incredible event! If you guys have not been to Planes of Fame, I highly encourage you guys to go and check it out. Thank you so much to Planes of Fame for the work that they did in putting on this wonderful event to keep history alive, honor our veterans, and inspire our next generation! If you liked this video, please consider giving it a thumbs up, subscribing, and turning on your notifications so you won’t miss another video on more content just like this. Thanks for watching!!!!

Nice!! That would be fun!!! 👍🏻
It was 16 P 38's on the mission to shoot down Yamamoto . Some provided top cover , and some shot down the escort fighters and 2 transport planes. Yamamoto was killed by 2 .50 cal. slugs and was dead before the plane hit the deck.
I think that the P-38 and the P-51 Mustang, were 2 of the best fighters in WWII.
it was cool to see the 2nd P-38 appear! I was not expecting that
Yeah man!! It sure was!! I was not expecting it either.
We were all hoping for that when we saw it on the radar
R.I.P
He will be missed. He was truly one of the best pilots out there. Well respected and loved by everyone who knew him.
Does he still fly areobatics haven’t seen him fly for ever
Yes. He still does fly aerobatics. He is sponsored by Folds of Honor now.
@@aviationavenue2261 oh he must do smaller shows now, huh?
He does a mix. Smaller shows and bigger shows. Like March ARB and Miramar. He will be at Miramar this year for the first time since 2009.
@@aviationavenue2261 awesome thank you
My pleasure! Thank you for watching!! 👍🏻
Hey Everyone! I am so sorry. Please excuse the screen as I have no idea what caused that green light/effect.
What time do the jets normally take off and land there? Going there this summer and wondering so I can get some pictures
All day long usually until the late afternoon but typically it’s early morning for takeoffs and early afternoon for landings. However, there are not really any places to go at Miramar without getting in trouble. So be EXTREMELY cautious. Those Hornets landed at around 11:09 AM. Hope that answers your question and I hope you get great shots!!!
@@aviationavenue2261 Alright thank you so much!
Nice that must have been fun!
Thanks man!! You betcha!!! 🤙🏻
You should consider making your own documentary
Thank you so much!! That means a lot!!! 🙏🏻👍🏻
Brayden keep it up 👍
Thanks! Will do!!
What happened to the P-40? Why did it crash and who wound up with it?
That is siiick. I'm gonna see Kirby Chambliss fly in 2 weeks. So excited!
That’s Awesome!!! Thanks for watching and I hope you have BLAST!!!
Gorgeous warbird!
Kid is annoying.
I bet you were an annoying kid once. Oh, but you are still annoying.
It was nice joining you 2 the other day! Looking forward to next episode!
Thanks for joining in man!!! 🤙🏻
@@aviationavenue2261 Ya ofc!
So cool I saw these guys buzzing around all weekend, Im in Corona they were flying up and down the 15.... 👍
That’s Awesome!!! It was so cool to see!! I can’t wait till they comeback and visit Chino next year!!!
Killed It Braden!
Thank you so much!! 🙏🏻👍🏻😎
What was the difference between a p39 and p61
Both the P-39 and P-63 had unusual layouts. A reason for this was the engine being installed/located in the center fuselage. Just behind the pilot. As a result, this drove a tractor propeller using a long shaft. The difference between the two aircraft was the tail was rounded on the P-39, the prop was much smaller, it was only a three-bladed prop vs the four bladed prop on the P-63. The P-63’s on the other hand was much larger, it’s tail was also clipped as well. Thanks for watching Steve!
at 4:47 you can see a subtle, but important brake check
Yep. Always important. I’ve done that when I’ve flown with DuBois Aviation.
Keep it up braden💪amazing interview🔥
Thank you so much!! Will do!!! 👍🏻
Those hang-ars were for AIR-SHIPS. ONE PSYOP AND NO MORE AIR CRUISING FOR THE LITTLE PEOPLE
Were you there?
@@X_airline_productions Do you have a brain or knowledge?
That beautiful P40 must of had plenty of turbulence before starting !
Not really turbulence. Just a lot of smoke from the engine.
Beautiful plane!
It sure is!
Rob Reider is an inspiration as someone who is a mass communication major with an emphasis in broadcasting and someone who loves aviation and wants to get into aviation announcing. He is someone I look up to.
That is awesome!! Same here!!! He is truly a legend in the airshow industry and announcing community!
Are you sitting on a boat?
I really get a bit annoyed at fast digital Video given the Propellors appear all funky weird from what the human eye actually sees in person

@@aviationavenue2261 You are welcome my friend 🤟🏻😎
Badass! Thanks for posting.
Sure is!!! My pleasure!! Thank you for watching!!!
I like this bird because of its unique configuration, also it was the one with the highest-powered Allison engines (apart from the post-war F-82 Twin Mustang), actually at low to medium altitudes with a 1800hp water-metanol-injection it was something of a hot rod
Nice!! It truly does have a unique configuration!! Thanks for watching!!
The P-63, unlike the earlier P-39, had a 2-stage supercharger and wasn't restricted to low altitudes. it's service ceiling was 43,000 feet, a bit higher than a P-51D. The P-51 had more range and was already in service so there was no real need for the P-63 so the Russians got most of them.
@@barryervin8536 Nice!! That was mentioned during the panel as well. Thanks for watching!!
Was this the one crashing into the B-17 or is it still flying?
No. This is a newly restored model that the museum has been working on for a long time.
Engine is music to my ears sweet post
Thanks so much!! Same here!!!
Beautiful!!
Nice one Braden! I just subbed!
Thank you so much!! Appreciate it!!!
Thank you for posting. An incredible achievement to get this airplane airborne again.
My pleasure!! It certainly is!! I can’t wait to see it fly again!!!
Would’ve loved to go there today, but couldn’t due to personal reasons.
I am so sorry. My condolences.
Wow cool I love this plane
Thank you!! So do I!!
Geeze bro this man tells you he engaged targets in Afghanistan, and you follow up with "my dad met President Bill Clinton". LOL Missed a pretty solid opening to discuss the effects of that and how he felt. Or maybe see how common something like that is as a sensor operator. He said it happened 2 weeks in so I imagine it happened a good bit. Anyway, just a little criticism! Solid interview!
Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks David your the best
