What an emotional roller coaster!
Where to start... we begin by limping our way to Larrawa Station along the Great Northern Highway in Western Australia. From here we were able to make some phone calls and organise a tow into Kununurra (roughly 500kms away).
After the tow we were able to get our caravan into Ivanhoe Village Caravan Resort which would be our home for the next few weeks while we work through what has happened to the Collie and what we will do next.

We start this episode at the western side of the Gibb River Road. Being that the Gibb River Road is a notorious road we have decided to head to Windjana Gorge Camping ground and set up base camp there. From there we were able to leave the vans behind and travel a little more comfortably/confidently so we got up early and headed off to explore Galvan's Gorge and Bell Gorge. Galvan's Gorge was a ...
Free Camp & Pearl Tour
มุมมอง 2783 หลายเดือนก่อน
With the need for supplies plus having to get some work completed on the Colorado, we headed back towards Broome and found a brilliant free camp called Quondong Point. This hugs the coast line and at times can be quite tight to drive through. We eventually found a cozy little spot towards the southern end of the camping grounds. From here we explored Barred Creek and the local tracks and beaches.

There was a lot of hype around Pender Bay and the surrounding area in Dampier Peninsula which is located above Broome in the far northwest of Western Australia. I am happy to say it did not disappoint as it quickly became one of our most favourite places we visited. With a good amount of spacious camping sites you really do feel like you've got your own piece of paradise in such a remote part o...
Back to the coast we go!

After having an amazing time in and around Karijini National Park it was time to head back to the coast. Our first pit stop was a free camp along the Great Northern Highway which was a really easy spot to get to and nicely hidden on the other side of a rock formation from the highway. The next day we made our way to Cape Keraudren which was a great spot but just blowing its bum off and still th...

Welcome back to day 2 in Karijini National Park! In this episode we're checking out Handrail Pool which is set within Weano Gorge and then we head off to Hamersley Gorge to wash away the day in Spa Pool. Just WOW... Seriously Karijini!

We couldn't have asked for a better start to our Karijini National Park tour. We started off by settling into our camp site in Tom Price and then made our way in and visited Dale Gorge, Fern Pool & Fortesque Falls. Although we hit this place during the busy period it was still something we will never forget and definitely be back again. This place lived up to all the hype and delivered more. To...

For years now I have heard of Bullara Station and always wanted to go. I am stoked to say all the hype was well deserved as it was a cracking place to visit and stay! Exploring in and around Cape Range National Park and North Lefroy
มุมมอง 2.6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This part of the Western Australia coastline just blew our minds. It had some of the best camping spots we've ever been to and the snorkelling was nothing we have experienced yet. We set up camp at North Lefroy which is just south of Yardie Creek and Cape Range national park. This camp ground has an awesome beach directly out the front of it and launching a boat from it is quite user friendly. ...
An amazing Manta Ray tour out of Coral Bay in Western Australia
มุมมอง 9752 ปีที่แล้ว
Since hitting the amazing Western Australian coast line we have done more snorkelling than ever before so when we were told about going swimming with Manta Rays we booked it in straight away. It's a full day tour where you start off stretching your legs so to say, swimming around some of the local reef. This is great as it gives you some time to get use to the gear and water. Then you make your...

We rolled into 14 Mile (Waroora Station) not really knowing what to expect and we were blown away by how awesome this area is! The joys of having a "smaller" then most van allowed us to score one of the beach front sites. You literally walk 10 metres from your camp site and you've hit the beach. The road into the campgrounds was heavily corrugated at times and can easily get swamped by heavy ra...

We made our way north from Carnarvon and set up camp at Quobba Station. From there we took advantage of some good weather and went snorkelling at the "Aquarium" which is right near Point Quobba and the Quobba Blowholes. The Snorkelling at the Aquarium was amazing and a great place to learn how to snorkel. We drove up to Red Bluff as well as checked out a track off the main road that leads you t...

Why not just install the pre filter before the main filter, Bolted on the left hand chassis rail. Would save all that excessive hosing and custom engine bay brackets.
Is there easy access to the beach or do you have to go through a difficult inland track to get there?
I’m not aware of there being any other track in apart from the one we drove. It was pretty easy dirt track but obviously when we hit it, there had been a bit of rain.
Nice video, would have liked to see some vision of the road houses, but none the less would have been a great trip. Great sunsets
Thanks 😊 Yeah I definitely should have filmed them🤦♂️

It was a good weekend, thanks mate! 😁
Hey mate, love the content. Mates and I are planning 9 days over to North West Island in 2 months. Just had a question, what are the better camp sites How much fuel did you take over for yourself How much water did you take for your self Anything you would recommend taking out of the norm🙌🙌 Just subbed 🫡
Thanks mate! 😁 We found the camping area on the far left as you face the island had the clearest area to work with. Although we’ve only got this area a couple of times due to other campers already being set up. Hope you guys have an awesome time! 👍
@@expeditionalliance awesome thanks mate, how much water and fuel do you take for yourself?
@@Venturehuntingaus we just work with what you get standard with Curtis Ferry services. I wouldn’t be able to give you exact figures as there’s generally about 40 of us but we organise for a few extra drums to come out half way through our trip just to make sure we’re all good. We’ve never had a problem with running out.

Hey guys, how big was your camp kitchen tarp setup? Heading over in April and keen to know the size of the sites to plan for gear. Thanks!
Hi Vicci, we had two 18x20 tarps back to back for the kitchen set up. Hope you have an awesome trip!
Thanks for posting great to see everything around and helps us to see what its like. We go at Easter (normally do Masthead, first time to NW). The trollies you used in one of the videos to move the water containers up to your camp. Did you take them with you or are they on the island already?
No worries at all, I’m glad you got some info out of it. 👍😁 Those trollies are on the island all of the time and just move around between the camping areas as people need them. Bloody handy to have there.
Thanks for the vid. However, if that music was playing while you were walking, would you want it turned off?
