how do you take apart this sabre?

The hilt looks almost identical to a king 🤔. I’m curious how well it holds up. The issue with Excalibur is that the hilts bend.

would you be able to make a comparison between the blade of this sabre an the king sabre blade?

I've never spun a sabre before, but i would love to try it, just lemme know if you have some old sabres and i would be happy to buy them, I'm all the way here in the Philippines so it would be pricey if you just send it

I’m not sure if you’re reading this or not, but I was wondering, since I just got a rifle about a week ago and have been in Guard about 4 years only really knowing flag, is there a smaller toss for a rifle, similar to a pop toss for a flag? Or does it go straight into a single?

I do agree that those flags are awesome design wise! My experience with the Genisis flags has been that you have to majorly get use to the way the silk spins. When I have worked with guards using these for the first time, I always say that they are a mixed fabric flag so they will spin a bit different than flags we usually spin. I personally reccomend them because the shin they provide makes it look even more stunning!

do you have an approximate weight for it? im thinking of getting this kind of rifle but I dont want anything that's too light

My instructor wants me to do a double 45, positioned on the silk side instead of the pole. Would this same thing be applied there? My flag keeps flying to the left of me and its beginning to frustrate me 😅

How well does this rifle spin compared too other rifles? How does the rifle weight compare to wooden rifles? Would you recommend this for someone on a budget and someone who doesnt want to have to worry about their rifle breaking?

As someone who’s been in guard only 2 years I’ve never once touched my rifle. I was too scared of even spinning it. This definitely helped me find the confidence to finally pick it up. Haven’t mastered it yet, but I’m getting there!! Thank you!! 💕

fascinating. "only in NA is a rifle an instrument" got me here.

I marched & spun way back in the late 70's to mid 80's in Southern California, and at that time, we spun smaller sized rifles (usually without straps). Many times as an option, we would cut wooden dowels for the bolt bed, sand it by hand a bit, tape the bolt dowel with colored electrical tape, & finally secure it with a strong glue & re-tape it down for added security since that entire section would need re-taping for reinforcement purposes. By not using screws on the bolt, it seemed to help not compromise the wood for the rifles we used to spin way back then and also provided a stronger bolt since it was no longer hollow & prone to cracking/breakage. I also noticed there is no longer an embossed groove in the longer nose portion of the rifle (like my old ones). It doesn't seem rifles are made this way anymore I'm assuming. I prefer lighter weight rifles personally since I'm looking for a new rifle...

I was curious about rifle since I never got to do it in high school. There is no way I would've been able to do this haha. I broke my nose doing a J toss I hate to imagine what kind of damage my face would've taken with a rifle.

Thanks for the tutorial! My sister did color guard all thru high school and college. Now she has kids, and I want to make some mini flags for them for Christmas. I was in marching band, so have no knowledge of the flags and taping, so this video really helps!
