Thank you Franck N Dice for the review! 🙂 Regarding your question, you are right that you can move from sea to any Port Province. This is stated in the rulebook (on page 6) : Sea: This is a single area, adjacent to all port provinces.
@@jester7796 got it thanks. And you’re welcome thanks for the opportunity

Final Girl movie is pretty cool
Nice review! I think the information is useful I would maybe like to see a final table of all criteria with the score each :"))
These game are fun!
Looks interesting!
Dope!
Thanks for your effort. Unfortunately you didn't prepare the deck for an explanatory round, as in picked the scenario carefully, so I was rather lost.
Great list! We've been playing a spoiky game every day this month! Excited for Halloween 2, Trick or Treat has been making great horror movie games!

Do you like this better than Rise of the Wasteland?
Yes
@@frankndice Thank you for your honesty. I wasn't sure if I was going to pull the trigger on either of those. I might on that one now.
@@Exozik I would get both as they’re two different games and both are not crazy expensive. Venterra has much more going on while wastelands is definitely more streamlined and can be played faster.
Thanks for covering my game. I greatly appreciate it!
Verdun is still available for late pledges @Kickstarter, probably until end of October. It is quite unlikely that it would be available via retail anywhere outside EU.
Yow Man! Ieally enjoyed this review. You are very down to earth. Cant wait till i get my Copy. Good Job 👍🏾👍🏾

Thanks for the great review, Frank!
Cool game. It will be interesting to try
There was no basement in the movie this is based on. I believe you are confusing the 1974 classic (the one this game is modeled after) with the 2003 movie.
@@kingleper yes I am and now I’m ashamed of myself being a horror fanatic
@@frankndiceHey man. Happens to the best of us. Being a horror fan seeing so many movies over the years, it can be easy to mix them up. Thanks for the video though. Picked it up. Going to try it this weekend.

You have such a sick collection. This game looks dope too!
@@alquosfinn2980 it’s a fun game. That’s nothing lol you should see what’s on the other side of the camera
Here to Slay.
looks like a very interesting game, im a ww1 history fan and the artwork is great, it looks very thematic, as with verdun alot of succesfull pushes ended in losses ofc aswell. it was alot of back and forth. i often have the issue that trick taking games lack strategy, but this seem to fix it, by, ok i have a lot of bad cards, but i can try to inflict asmuch of a damage to the enemy. thank you for the detailed explanation
@@DayKlight yes it’s very thematic when it comes to the attrition aspect but it’s still a trick taking game so idk how enthusiasts will feel about it that thematic wise. Still a lot of fun
@@frankndice but for a trick taking game very thematic, and most ww1 thematic games are more on the heavy war game sides, where it can be hard to get it onto the table. so its nice to have the theme in a small game
Great video!
It seems really similar to Here to Slay, how would you say they compare?
@@jbearclowater I have never played here to slay
Great Review!
I wish the table map would be with much less shapes. That would be less messy, and more clean and it would be more pleasant to watch at your presentation with much more sterile background. Thanks for the overview..
@@Why-Ron75 all I got…until I get a game table
A well-known rule: Always mention the game one more time when summerizing. It is all along the video, but just for an example, instead of: "This is why it's my number 56" - "This is why Five Tibes is my number 56". (06:00) Beside that, I really like your perspective and reasonning.. p.s. Just fiinish to watch this entire series (which deserve a playlist of its own, as well as your other videos which share the same topic), and I just want to mention that usually you do indeed named the game one more time with each spot conclusion.
Although I wish it was more visual (with much more shots of the game itself), I enhoyed this review. Thanks! Please consider editing playlists.. (Top games, Reviews, Unboxing, etc.) That will be much more user friendly when people approach to your channel. Beside that, best of luck, and... you have a new subscriber :)
@@Why-Ron75 thank you. Need all the subs I can get. I’m going to make future videos more visual. Things get a little busy here so I was rushing a lot of them, but the channel seems to be steadily growing so I’ll put a little TLC into them.

What's AP?
@@ComputerPerson6000 analysis paralysis
When someone cannot decide what they want to do for a long time.
Would be great to show more pictures of the game as you're talking, it's hard to follow with just the description.
Thank you for this review!
Thanks for the review! Also see that you have Northgard, what do you think of that one? Been contemplating getting the warchiefs expansion
I need to play it more before I review it, but I will say this the base game alone is not good enough you need that war chiefs expansion
I've played Northgard a lot, but I'd say it really needs the Warchiefs expansion. The base game is fine, but imo it's just too basic to keep it interesting. But with the warchiefs its really fun. The monsters expansion makes the world feel way more alive, but introducing PvE elements into a PvP game is always risky, in that the environment can screw up one player more than the others. Still, I like it too. But the Warchiefs is essential. Otherwise it's just Small Worlds advanced really.
@@Superslemmet yea the warchiefs is a must. The wolves one wasn’t bad but I felt we were fighting the wolves more than ourselves
@@frankndice the monsters introduce a lot more racing to the game, as you say you spend a lot of time killing monsters instead of your opponents. But it pairs really well with the warchiefs in that some clans have bonuses directly connected to winning battles. When they only have other players to attack, it makes it harder to get much use out of them. It's really only the big Wyrm I kinda dislike, since it tends to decide the outcome of the entire game. Oh well, EU here so still waiting for Arcs. Might play some Northgard in the meantime. :p
Great job!!!! I just come here for your accent as I miss NY.
Wish I can get out of here lol

This was very high in the search results when I looked for a review. It's a shame, I'm so predisposed to clicking off small videos to find stuff with better production. While I think this video isn't the overview I was looking for, I wanted to like and say I appreciate you posting a review. Thanks!
What kind of overview were you looking for if you don’t mind me asking?
I’m assuming the OP is talking about higher production values. Such as using cutaways with B-roll showcasing the specific components you’re referring to, glamour shots of the game itself etc. just having a person talking at the camera the whole time isn’t super interesting… I also just scrubbed ahead because having not played the game yet, I didn’t know what you were really talking about.
@@pallidmask3822 I don’t have the $ for better equipment or editing tools, maybe if the channel grows. It’s also harder when you got kids and also trying to fulfill other games sent. Believe me I know I’m trying all I can to make the channel better
@@frankndice it’s understandable. Just clarifying what i think the original intent was.
Thanks for the video. I was about to organize this when you posted it. It’s helpful to see someone else who already jumped through a couple of hurdles.
What’s funny is that it was right in front of my face the other whole time but the rulebook failed to mention that
Great video thank you! We just got our Kickstarter and we wondering how to make it all fit and hoping it could all go in the big box.
You’re welcome
The game board will fit above those 4 wells where all the cards and tokens are. Also, you can fit the tokens in their bags behind each divider that they go with. And the extra dividers are for the base game cards; actions/setup/leaders and lore/etc.
They weren’t very clear about that in the rulebook
I had them behind the dividers but then ended up preferring to number the bags and just put them in an empty well
Holy New York accent Batman!
Why I never made it as a voice actor…they said my accent was too strong
Seems pretty complex but I love the concept. For 25 bucks, this might be worth the risk in backing it.
Absolutely. It’s not complex at all. My non gamer friend got it down after one turn
🔥🔥🔥
I agree, the randomness CAN be frustrating. But despite that, i find this game super addictive! Im all-in on all the sets though, so there is so much mixing and matching available to me. And as a fellow horror fanatic, the implementation of the theme is brilliant! I throw on a horror movie soundtrack and see how it goes! Usually, gruesome deaths!
I think the replayability really comes in once you have a lot of feature films, and start mixing and matching. I don't like replaying the same killer and same location in a short period of time but by constantly switching it up and doing some of the Scenarios included in the Lore & Scenarios book, I can replay this game A LOT before getting bored.
Didn’t feel that way because once I defeated the killer I didn’t want to ever go back to it
Great list! I'd say Gloomhaven/Frosthaven and Eldritch Horror would be in my top 10 cooperative games. I still haven't played Return to Dark Tower, Restoration Games may be sending one our way at some point?
Eldritch horror been on my shelf of shame for 3-4 years 😖
@@frankndice I really enjoy the epic action adventure feel in it, even though it usually ends in everything spiraling out of control and ends in a crushing defeat!
@@eVanDiesel that’s what I like to see haha. I have Arkham horror 3rd edition too but I hear mixed things about it
Please add more pics to next review! Otherwise pretty decent explanation!
