This was the first attempt to make a cut on a home built CNC. I didn't have the depth setting right and I got a big surprise!

The opening song is a bloody pearler lol. May I ask who the band/artist is who sings it? Would love to purchase that song....I’m guessing it’s called rollin on the sea 🌊

That sir, is utter class. Your Dad at times seems to have extra limbs and digits using tools. A lifetime's learning and an important film document.
Its sad that crafting like that are starting to died out.
Hilarious...great dust storm but great machine too.
Awesome video
Someone actually took video of this, My memories of my brain cells exploding walking into the school that morning seeing everyone dressed overly ridiculous is very clear in my mind however it was funny
Wow, good job me for remembering me finding this video lol
Greet video, brings me back to mu childhood in Cape Breton
Thanks for the video. I remember do all this with my Dad years ago!

Nice film....Thanks. I did lots of this when I started. I wonder how many would be fishing today if they had to make their own pots?
sgtcrab1 i still make my own traps lol
Ah, what a wonderful film. I used to build the same way with my Dad during the winter. Thanow for sharing. (I originally saw it posted on Facebook from my sister) Well done. I presumed your Dad passed away?
It’s great that people are watching this and getting so much out of it. I made it many years ago and just put it up on youtube. And I am proud to say that Dad is over 80 and fit as a fiddle! I appreciate all the kind comments. Thanks!
Douglas Devine That's wonderful your Dad is still around.
Thank you for this labour of love. It brought back memories from childhood of lobster pots piled high on the wharf, hand-lining in the summertime, and the moss! You've preserved an important part of our history. I wonder if that was my uncle Aubrey Smith in the pic? Anyhow, thanks again!
Yes the was Aubrey Smith, my uncle. Thanks!
