I don't believe that being Judgmental and Compassionate are good bedfellows, particularly when the latter appears to be nothing more than an afterthought. I may be gravely mistaken, but given the body of evidence, unlike his namesake, I would doubt that he has gone through many packets of Kleenex, never mind drenching his bedlinen. Nor filled anything more than a thimble; with merely crocodile tears, over those he continuously criticises but apparently pities. Not that I would expect much different from someone who is in favour of corporal punishment.

I'm not usually one to miss the opportunity to call out sub standard preaching, when the need arises. Especially from someone who otherwise faithfully preaches the word of God. However I don't know (although it seems relatively prevalent) what Spirit possessed the pastor to go on, what in my 'opinion' descended into an eisegetical Harvest Rant. Are there not more 'pressing' spiritual concerns for the people of Lisnagleer and the surrounding hinterland. 2 Timothy 2.
