Such a waste of money and time. Just pressure wash the vehicle off prior to hand washing.
Doesn’t work the same. You’d know this if you cleaned cars regularly.
You could have made you job so much easier if you had just cut the zip tie and taken off the cap and cleaned it separately

Not really! It’s quite thick.

99% of modern engines are fine to clean like this. You can even jetwash them as long as you use common sense!
Almost every engine bay in modern cars are designed to be wet and soaked. Drying after with a shop vac or compressed air in pocket areas and high soaked areas are a must. I pressured wash about all my cars engine bays including my hybrid and high performance cars with no issue's.. Obviously covering up turbos and exposed filters.
