WORLD VETS @ Farleigh Castle - Futures class (under 25s)
Join me in the futures class at Farleigh Castle for the world vets! Was aiming for a top 20 out of the 40 lined up on the gate and found my self battling with 2 of the fastest girls in the UK Tanisha Thomas #21 & Nadia Jones #461 (some kind words of encouragement from Nad at the end) 👌
Managed 18th overall while being the first time racing the 350 and starting on a metal grid so nearly flipped it out the gate in 3 of the 4 races
Had a really good weekend racing and spending quality time with family and friends which was the main purpose of entering this event anyway 🤙
A very well organised event and was great seeing pros I watched as a kid still showing that they most definitely still have it!

Not going to beat around the bush my starts were terrible and my pace was a bit off this weekend as there was some fast expert’s that filled half the line up and it rattled me a bit. For the first time in my life and also my Dads life I managed to tag on to him for a few corners and not let him out of sight for a couple of laps. 55 years old and I still can't beat him! Always remember the valley sections as being looser and more chalky when racing there in the 80's. I guess its carved out into the subsoil now?
It looks like a wet day, I went and it was raining and it was similar.
Why is the track 3bike lengths wide ? Would be a good track if it was much wider, actually a bit dangerous.

I used to go here years ago when it was Tony Moto. Do they still have the 3 tracks? There was the gnarly main one, a mini motor track for kids and another one with some really easy jumps - that one was my favourite as not to scary for a newbie. Do they still have that track?

It kinda looks like it catapulted me. The bars came down and landed on my wrist. The scratch on the picture is from the screw of the Killswitch.
