Chaves Rendencion 229 kickstop Flipper. I really like this one. There are still some issues with the overall aesthetics , but I can see myself carrying this one more than the other styles.

Do you still have the original jade scales?
No I don't. I sold the knife awhile back. Great knife though especially with the Titanium scales, I wish I had of held on to this one.
@@3minuteknives appreciate the response I have same one but when I got it previous person swapped them for black g10
Theese just went on sale today
I just got mine with the same configuration and I did notice the same issue with the pivot. But overall the knife is incredible
Thanks for your video.Does the wave opener work well??
@MrBlessed70 The wave opener works excellent on this one. One of my favorite knives overall.
@@3minuteknives Many thanks.
why do you review knives and have no idea the purpose of the parts, what an idiot
youtube one comment checks zero comment bruh
Huh?
It’s about half a gram heavy on the back end.
The new minis are awesome too ! in hand it feel like a 940 but way slicier. I got both the DP and Tanto
Sadly, the extra quarter inch of blade will cost you nearly double that of the regular Cormorant.
It's worth it
Thick boyyyy
60$ for a Ganzo? yikes. should be 30.
Why does everyone act like this one is junk? Because it’s 7cr? That doesn’t mean it’s junk am i right?
Right. It's not my highest quality knife, but it's definitely well made. I keep it in my truck 24/7 and use it weekly.
Got one on the way, but that “Psalm 23” BS makes me wanna return it. And what controversy. Maybe I don’t want it for sure now.
Regardless of anything else, they make some great knives. One of my favorite designers. If you don't care for the Summitt, let me know. I might be interested in it.
Have you ever had your skin pinched between the handle when spreading it?
I've never had that happen and I've opened and closed multiples of these thousands of times.
They make awesome knives. I repaired a dining room ceiling with just a Treadz model.
Oh yeah
Does Katsu outsource their ZK 01 production to Reate?
As far as I know, Katsu manufactures their own knives. If you take a close look at the fit & finish of their knives compared to any Reate manufactured knife, you can see that it's not quite up to par with Reate
I carry one with me every day, even used it to dig something out of my leg
Is been on the market for awhile now and for the price, it's a great knife. I don't carry mine daily, but it's always in my truck in case I need it.
So sick! Where did you get that done?
Cerakoting Brandon did the work. You can look him up on Facebook. He's done many for me, excellent work.
@3minuteknives thank you sir! I'm seriously considering getting the same/similar.
Thanks for the review. I might buy one of these as a work knife but haven’t pulled the trigger. Do you think those thin liners will hold up?
For the size of the knife, I do wish the liners were a little thicker, but I haven't had an issue and I wouldn't imagine there would be one unless you were really brutal with it.
@@3minuteknives thanks man
Can this be wave opened out of the pocket?
Not really. The Flipper tab isn't quite big enough and the angle of the tab doesn't allow it catch on your pants pocket reliably.
@@3minuteknives much appreciated
Please mention the price range & your options on the value. (Like you did in the other video of yours I watched)
Great review/ new sub
do you know the steel on the blade i have the same knife i have #124
When these came out, Quartermaster was claiming 154cm on alot of their knives. I believe that is what this one is suppose to be. But because of their Shady practices, it's hard to say. I haven't found where anyone has done a steel test on their knives. It's too bad that they screwed up and went out of business, because I liked alot of their designs.
@@3minuteknives hands down my favorite knife. i have carried it every day since it’s release. no chips no fail of any sorts.
@@stogie1027 So you've had it awhile then. It is a great knife. I moved mine along about 2 years ago. I wish I still had it.
I feel like the edge of the knife handle can be knocked down a little.
Yes, definitely. That's a common problem that I've seen, especially with higher cost brands. It's like they give up on some of the small details.
@@3minuteknives I think they were going for the really fine line milling but it's shit for edc in my opinion. I love the new ram lock stitch and it's been my EDC.
@@imstuner I've tried the Ramlock Stitch and the MSI. They're just not for me. I was expecting more.
@@3minuteknives Yup It's going to be personal preference.
I just picked one up today for 60 bucks at my local Walmart, after carrying the folding Gerber bear Grylls for almost 10 years
It's a good, solid choice.
68 two weeks ago at my walmart, you got a deal bro
@user-pr2jj4cw9c They've definitely gone up a bit. I still have mine in my truck everyday.
Why would you do that to such a beautiful karambit 😔😔
Have experienced the clip getting beat up easily
Hey, thanks for watching. I haven't had that experience. To me the clip is pretty solid. It is Titanium so it will get scratched , but it's pretty thick so I don't see it having an issue with bending. But then again, any knife you use on a regular basis so get beat up.
Ok cool ,so all these scratches are normal, thanks 🍻
@nomadjedimaster7690 if you're using it, then yes. The good thing about Titanium is that you can sand it with a high grit sandpaper and get rid of all the scratches. 😁
Sweet !
It's real damascus. I believe I read/heard that it's powdered 9cr and 10cr. It test similar to vg10
It does look like a potentially very nice knife. Will depend on the pricing too, of course. Do you want to change the knife's name in the title of your video review? Their spelling of the knife is Asgeir. Maybe automated spell-checking produced the "Asgard"?
Thanks for the heads up on the spelling. I'm more of a big knife guy, but this does feel really nice.
cool, I have a channel.. that's a fancy Knife
Love em! I have a part serrated auto Stitch and an od green frag Stitch Ram lock. Such a mean badass looking knife!!
I agree for the most part. A couple of things I would change, but mostly great. Thanks for watching.
@@3minuteknives what would you change?
Looks cool but I won’t buy a hoback personally. Nice short though! 👍👊😎
Are they worth the money?
I like them. The cost is in the design. . Actually, the one I have left is a black handle/ blue blade. Very nice.
But, overall... No I don't think they are worth the cost. There are many other blades that I would rather have at half the money
Good night 🚨
STAY AWAY from this knife and Ganzo in general, clip broke on first use and support is non-existent. 3 months of emailing them to send a clip or at least a link where I can purchase a clip is unproductive, they ignore their customers.
Thanks for watching. I haven't bought many Ganzo knives, so I can't comment on their customer service, but just liked the look of this one. I didn't end up keeping it only because I constantly rotate knives in and out.
@@3minuteknives The rest of the knife is decent, but after 3 months of practically begging for a replacement to be sent or at least a link to where I could purchase the clip and getting no results I am not purchasing anything else from them and recommend others to stay away from their brand.
I just ordered it after your vid the exact same model. Can’t wait until til it arrives from Germany 🎉 thx for the English review 😅
It's definitely a collection piece. Very well designed and Reate did an excellent job in the manufacturing. It reminds me of the Chaves Sangre 229, but more refined.
Overpriced big time
I understand, but not really, considering what else is out there in the same price range.
I got mine a week ago and 1st thing I did was tried opening it but the blade is extremely hard to flip open ! I emailed SOG Friday before holiday And have yet to reply. Really well made knife just the lock sticks extremely hard when closed and opening
Yeah, it shouldn't be that difficult to open. I've had a few and they've all been pretty easy to flick open. I have heard that SOG customer service isn't the best. Have you tried just returning for another from the place you bought it?
Thats what I just did! I really like the RX KIKU. Just found the black one and Orange at a great price!@@3minuteknives
Is the blade tip on the Sangre real thin? I can’t decide on it or the drop point. Mainly because im worried about the tip being to thin on the Sangre.
It is definitely thinner than the drop point or the tanto at the tip. Not so thin that with normal use you'll have issue. If dropped on the tip or if used to pry, the tip will most likely break. I love a good wharncliff though and Chaves did this one right.
@@3minuteknives Ok,I ordered the drop point today. I've never had a Chaves before. If like it I'll might get the warncliffe in full titanium. Thanks for replying back.👍
@@Epesnell No problem. If you like the drop point, you'll probably want more. Chaves knives seem to be a love em or hate em deal, no inbetween.
This knife is beautiful was always my favorite outside of a high end Protech .
always liked this design and my local weapon shop has one for $260, i think i'll buy it. thanks for the vid!👍
I love the design as well. This particular one had an issue with the pivot, but I was able to return without an issue and received another one. They're tough to find so that's a decent price.
so polish the handle to make is slicker/ harder to hold onto . Great idea
Unless you have on silk gloves or baby powder on your hands, it doesn't work like that.
This might be my birthday present , I just think it’s cool because it’s karambit but a practical shaped blade
I also like the look of it. There's a couple of things that they could have done better, but overall an interesting knife. Thanks for watching.
The first one that came out was called the Gerber fast it wasn't serrated blade or a tanto blade and it had a plastic handle
Funny thing the smaller version doesn't have serrated edges that's got a stronger spring
I didn't even know there was a smaller version. I'll have to check it out. Most likely, they use the same spring as in the bigger version and because it's a smaller blade with less weight, it feels much stronger.
Too bad it has serrated edges if it wasn't self assisted to be a good
It's laser etched damascus. Look at the spine of the blade it's just black haha
No, it’s not. It’s legitimate Damascus made of 9CRMOV composite.
Какое покрытие на клинке?
I’m having trouble putting Mine back together without it rattling. Is the spring supposed to rattle inside the handle?
Is been awhile, but no the spring shouldn't rattle. You might try taking it apart again and reassembling. Sometimes just doing that helps. Make sure everything is tight with each screw. Other than that, I'd have to look at it to see what the issue is.
