Some of the most brutal feedback I’ve ever received...
🚨🚨🚨NEW LOGO PROJECT KLAXON!
THE BRIEF
At its core Immersif is a bookkeeping business, and founder Chi Yun Wai (a.k.a. Sam) asked me to helped him brand his new offering, which had the aim of helping immersive creators reach their goals with financial clarity, strategic advice and peace of mind.
Sam has more than a decade of bookkeeping experience in the immersive and creative sector, focussing mainly on escape rooms, and his new company would be niched to the creative, design and immersive entertainment markets.
We would need to produce a brand mark and accompanying logotype that represents the care and customer service, high attention-to-detail and trust that Immersif offers for its customers. The logo would need to use a light, colourful (not corporate) style.
Sam was also a big fan of my designs that incorporate a clever use of negative space, so using some illusory contour to represent the escape room roots of this brand; the search and discovery of something hidden, would be a huge bonus.
THE SOLUTION
During our discovery calls, Sam and I worked together to uncover a series of brand nouns that I could use as part of the design phase. In doing so we discovered the perfect representation of his vision, “…to help immersive creators achieve their ‘what-ifs’ and dreams.”
The logo combines elements of a bar graph with a negative silhouette of a dreamcatcher, borrowing sizing cues from the logotype to create an exceptionally balanced logo mark. The gradient is meaningful, with green bars blending through to the pink dreamcatcher, which perfectly illustrates the Immersif mission: ‘We Help Businesses Blossom’.
TESTIMONIAL
"…I couldn't be happier with the results! His mastery of design principles and attention to detail truly shines through in his work, bringing my vision to life in a way I never imagined possible. I highly recommend James to anyone looking for a talented and exceptional logo designer." - Chi Yun Wai (Sam)

Nah I believe in pen tool supremacy when you just click click click the key points of the shape and then double click on necessary ones to make them rounded. Much faster imo.
hahaha this was so cool (and educational). Thanks
The way I RANNNN to my computer 🖥️ 🏃🏾♀️💨
Live paint is going to blow your mind.
Wait, nobody using the quick select by shape?
You are soo cute 😅
I like your content so much✨️. Your tips are super easy to follow, now this😅...you nailed it👌🏽
should be able to detect it automatically at this stage
Its you going against the gravity of the desk rise in different poses for me. LOL very clean and nice setup.
I think you guys just need to learn how to use the pen tool. That was painful to watch on such simple curved lines
What program is that??
i wish i saw this before i finished my adobe illustrator finals
No way!
How should I use it in the iPad version?
It seems like it takes exactly the same amount of effort
Oh... Adobe made an improvement to one of their apps that wasn't generative AI based? What are we back in 2015?
I understand that these videos are to teach us about the different tools, but for this situation why not just use the shape builder tool?
😮
This makes me wanna riot……. Those times when you have hundreds of pen marks for something you can’t image trace but have to trace by hand
Well I guess it is is the end.. since Adobe is going down. Muhahahaha
That pen lookin really sexy for all that damn time I’ve lost🫠
:0
Meanwhile Inkscape: 🍷🗿
make a review please long form
Haha just yesterday I was making my logo and struggling with the pen
Chills,literal chills
It was number 5! Number 5 killed my brother
Number 5 killed the pen tool!
I almost forgot about that part!
You can just use the trace function on such a simple outline. Lmao
What program is it?
Just trace, 1 button
I'm afraid of the backstreet boys! Tell me why? Aaaahhhhhhhhhh
What camera are you using bro
Also adobe : See you in twenty years for the next useful update !
But only in beta so far, right? I've just updated Illustrator because of the video and I can't find it.
How to replace a large desk with another conventional desk but smaller
Thanks for the tip 😊
I was messing with powerpoint and broooooo
If all objects would have boundaries of circular segments... BTW how do you know at the last semicircle that it will connect in a perfectly horizontal line to the benging point?
I was thinking of getting certified myself
People bashing sharing this dont have a good concept of having extra tools. Sometimes its just a minor saving of clicks, maybe 3-4., but multiplied by a professional workload and that could be hundreds or thousands of clicks less a day for same results. Iterative improvements are rarely groundbreaking in apparent impact, but 100 iterations down the line and its a huge deal.
I don’t anything about this stuff, but this video just made me smile!! Well done 😂❤
y not using magnetic tool
Work smarter not harder 🗿
Is this real or am i hallucinating ??? 😂😂😂😂
Desk setup tour? Please 😉
Wait what!?
ok wow
Hahaha love your reactions 😂
Thanks diddy, I'll stick to other software
Wait till you discover the magic wand.
It's Illustrator, not Photoshop
It is
