The Soul Doctors are a progressive folk group located in Bali, Indonesia, formed by Wil Hammer, Dennis Ferrell, Hanoman Hemmerle, Mamo Priyo and Kerry Pendergrast in 2008 as a means to develop and perform their original songs. The group has since become a magnet attracting like-minded artists from the creative musical community and beyond. The Soul Doctor's music is influenced by folk, country, swing and jazz standards, blending well-honed instrumental skills with rich vocal harmonies. The Soul Doctors released their first album, titled 'Soul Doctors' in 2008.
Now, in 2017, we are excited to announce the launch of our TH-cam channel that we are recording live from our Grass Hut Studios in Bali.

Interesting consolation for our current Troubled Times. As someone who has been around the block, my dismay is tempered by the fact that , so far, I still have a fine life. Just finished a Medicine Wheel in my front yard made from native quartz, crystal, and granite. This is where I make my stand, with my back to the River, breathing hill country air. It helps to be royally entertained with such timely ballads as this. One young musician seems to be channeling Chuck Mangione, whose dulcet tones peppered my youth. The band is at its best with this one!
Music is so dreamy. Touching and catchy melody. Love the violin parts. Gorgeous poetry with wondrous images

We hear you, but it adds a level of complexity to the production that we just weren't prepared to tackle when these songs were recorded. Our next batch of recordings will hopefully have more studio footage.
