Great exchange between Felix and Nick. To bring out "frustration tolerance": so accurate....👏👏
"Swiss Army knife" agency.....was quite a label. Brilliant.....😅
I liked that one too :) Nick
Major conversation, Nick. Minds are opened like this. Thanks for bringing this topic on podcast......
thanks so much Andres! I'm glad you enjoyed it also. Nick
Thank you for this information! I am going to look further into this.
The world belongs to the brave! Congrats for that effort on the Plastic Treaty
Well said!
Really a lot of challenges to overcome for national parks and conservation careers. I need to plan more carefully.
Thanks very much for this. I have had a conservation project in Thailand for the last 15 years that I have completely funded myself, but I have started to get some rare animals on the land, so I need to step up my efforts to improve the habitat and secure the land. I hope and believe I have got some useful information from this clip and will try to go after some funding in some of the ways that Elana suggests.
Best of luck!
Great! Have to admit it is difficult to realize burnout soemtimes. I need to be more aware of it as well. '^v^ b
This is such heartening news about how quickly rewilding can occur on such a large scale! Also an insight into a rewilding career that is not purely "biology-based", which opens the door for people without that background to work towards a job in the sector.
I love watching these orangutan videos! I've been binging for the last 3 days, 12 hours at a time, while I am recovering from surgery. I am absolutely fascinated with these highly intelligent creatures!! I just wish I could go to Sumatra or Borneo to see them in their natural habitat. Sadly, I'll never be able to afford it, but man I'd love to be able to get one chance to do it. I may never return to the U.S. after being amongst these magnificent creatures. Keep up the good work!!!!
Thank you for this ❤
It’s a pity that subtitles in other languages don’t exist
Hi Guys. Thank you for posting the latest Webinar. If possible, would you be able to add the resource links here too?
Thanks for the great video!
Snow leopard range, as well as Himalayas, are also partly in China. Hope I can also contribute to these regions' conservation work in the future.
Interesting conversation and incredible discussion with Leif
The oranghutan project does an incredible work not only for orangutans but to preserve rain forest
Really enjoyed this podcast 😊 Less demanding more listening!
About eating less meat, I think one major difficulty is about gaining enough protein from vegetarian resources, especially that people also want good flavour in foods. As someone from China, my priority choice on this aspect is tofu. However, soy bean industry also has much larger carbon footprint than normal agriculture on average. But also as I know, most soy bean produced nowadays are used to feed farm animals for meat production. So, would it be better or not to switch from meat to tofu in the aspect of reducing carbon footprint and pollution?
Sometimes, if it comes to environmental protection and climate change, frustration also comes from conflicting little things, for example: 1/ If you see imported organic foods and local non-organic foods, which one should you buy? 2/ If there are mutiple platforms or roganizations to donate, which ones should you donate to? etc. I kinda hope there could be some guide on such stuff to help people know what is actually better for environment. '^v^
I hope I will be able to work there as well. By the way, about conservation careers in UK, there seems to be more in England than Scotland. I am in Aberdeen.
All d best wishes
Wow! I love this many advices. I think I shall have more faith in doing conservation works now! And, it sounds good to start from volunteer works. Also, I may do any kinds of part-time jobs to improve my skills and social experience if I can not find a conservation job at the first place. Thanks a lot! ^v< b
Is there a niche for the study of recently extinct animals or endangered species? I would absolutely love to go into a job that deals with that topic in general so I'm thinking of aiming for a Major in Ecology and a Minor in Biology or Plant Biology.

I've got Feral, I got it for Christmas 2021 and still need to read it! I think I'll start on it tonight.
I noticed in this that two items that were discussed are interpersonal; to be more assertive and how to collaborate. Those are deeply entrenched emotional things that are determined in great part by our personality, attachment style, whether or not we are highly emotional, etc.
Thank you for the tips, it will be an useful information that I am looking for my career. I wonder how the career in this field will growth in the future.
