For a short lady its ok, shes not completely over the top of my head but still plenty of room

Hi, I have been studying the Tenere 700 ever since it came out & have learned this major con that has stopped be from buying it: - it is too top heavy & also overall a heavy bike for off road. Best bike for off road adventure is a Honda CRF 300 or something like that. _Listen to your elders_ *Javier Fernandez* as I'm 58.

@@javierf55 You are welcome, also of note - two (2) aesthetic things about the Yamaha Tenere 700 that I dislike strongly: 1. The fuel tank cap comes completely off for refueling. 2. The turn signals (US model) are not LED and also are very floppy when you hit even small bumps. The front & rear of the bike look comical/clownish are you ride along with turn signals going up & down like a pogo stick. God bless

@@sweetcostarica obviously it’s not the best off road. It’s a adventure bike. The Honda 300 is gutless and uncomfortable on road. And the turn signals are floppy so they move when falling instead of breaking.

Hey dude! I saw the photo on Instagram, love it! Were going Galveston beach in 2 weeks and I gotta ride on the beach lol, I'll make sure to let some air out before hand lol. Any psi recommendations?

So I'm about 5'8 and 180 lbs and the wife is smaller than I am, we both have alot of room to move around. she could hold on to the seat strap and sit back on the seat alittle instead of right behind me. Definitely enough room for a top case to lean back on with room.

@@mr.ijustwannaride7514 Thanks a lot for this first hand experience, it is very difficult to find such information regarding T700...you see, it is easy to just say 'buy the 1250 GS for two up travelling', but T700 is more than enough for whatever I might need for solo travelling, and it was only question what if my wife changed her mind and decided to go with me? We did extensive touring across Europe 20 years ago (7500 km round trips) on plain old XT600, but we were younger then. So your confirmation might be the final evidence in 'Africa Twin 1000 vs Tenere 700' case! I am the Yamaha fan after all, the original Tenere XT 600 3AJ waiting restoration in my garage would be glad to chat with new Tenere 700 :-). Thanks for replay, enjoy the ride and stay safe!

I dont know the exact answer but most manufacturers release the next year models a few months early.

I LOVE IT! My last dirt bike was a KX250f eight years ago. I've ridden a shadow and stratoliner before getting this for about that eight years. The Tenere 700 splits them both down the middle, and is the best of both worlds.

The wife has only ridden for a couple of hours on the back but no complaints. Could use upgraded passenger pegs maybe. Haven't had it loaded down yet, still accumulating gear for a October trip. 🤘

It would probably require stiffer rear suspension spring, something aiming for 100 kg as standard is for about 70+ kg and no luggage...easy to do and not expensive, and 74 hp is enough for two up touring.

It was good around town and some back roads. Really anything long distance, 3 or 4 hours, it would need some upgrades. Side rails and foot pegs along with the upgraded seat. 👍 -Mrs. I Just Wanna Ride

They sure do, Yamaha makes one along with a lowering seat. There's a few aftermarket companies out there also.
