Skull Hollow Nature Trail - Oologah, Oklahoma
Located on the Lake in Oologah, Oklahoma.
There are 3 trail options in this beautiful area --
The Short Loop (1/3 mile), Long Loop (3/4 mile), and the Hiking Trail (1.3 miles) along the Oologah Lake. You can access this trail by entering Hawthorn Bluff Campground, please note the $5 per vehicle parking fee.
A beautiful spot along the lake, please remember to pack in and pack out/leave no trace. Respect the wildlife!

As much as I love growing sunflowers, this year just didn't produce how I had hoped. Still captured some beautiful pictures, and had tons of pollinators all summer long. Claremore Mountain Bike Trails - Oklahoma

Claremore Lake has over 15 miles of mountain biking, and pedestrian hiking trails to explore. This video starts out at the South Trailhead, exploring only 2 miles. Will definitely have to come back and check out more trails! Have you been here??
Liberty Parkway Trail Pond BA Oklahoma

Liberty Parkway Trail is a paved trail beginning just underneath "Rollercoaster Bridge" between 101st and 91st on Garnett in Broken Arrow, Ok. A perfect "1 mile" spot (from the bridge to Rose West Dog Park) or you can choose to continue on for miles! Round Hollow is located just off the Illinois River, with a 7 day max camping site, free of charge for day visits. Great spot to forget your troubles and enjoy some fun in the sun! Come check it out, and comment if you plan to visit, or have been here! Always remember to explore safely.

A lot has happened in the garden since my last update. A wild rabbit is determined to make growing more difficult, but I am determined! LOL It's been a lot of work, but honestly love the garden highs and lows, as I know they build character. Hope you enjoy, and check ack when I share more growth (in a few weeks!)

Asters budded?
Not this specific plant, but my other Aster across the yard has 3 buds! So I assume we're just a few days out ❤
I had one pop up in my yard last year and I had no clue what it was! It was very tall! Once I found out what it was and how medicinal it was, I will always collect everything that I need from it! I collected the seeds just yesterday from the tiny one that came up! I want them all over!
I, too, have it growing all over my yard now! Keep in mind, only the 2nd year plant will produce the big flowers, the first year is just the leaves!

When did they add the jellyfish?
They've had quite a few varieties of jellyfish for some years, now. They even have a touch tank for the babies (personally not a huge fan, but many enjoy it!)

What is mullein and what is it used for.
It's scientific name is Verbascum Thapsus, a member of the Snapdragon species. Many use it by grinding up the dried leaves to smoke, or use in teas. It's an expectorant, anti inflammatory, antiseptic, and has antioxidants that protect your cells.

Mysterious things
It surprised me how similar the leaf is to a poison ivy!
I still need to master IDing poison ivy in the wild.
