Guard Opener #10
Last one!! Yay!! We're done with the opener! Make sure that you're watching the release point of the silk toss. Also, watch those free hands!

Couple more...Make sure your flag goes on the front 45. Not the 45-45.

Still more...Don't end like Megan!! It's flat, not an angle. Also, make sure you're watching all of the different flats and angles.

The next installment...From the satellites to the catch of the toss. Make sure you remember the change from flat to an angle in the first 8 counts.

Once you really have all of the work down, you need to make sure you are performing and eliminate all the extra mess underneath the work (i.e. clean those free hands!, watch where your feet are and that they are taking extra steps, and make sure you're controlling the flag don't let it control you).

Make sure you start to practice marching under the work. Watch the differences between flats and angles. And make sure you're putting your hands in the right spots.

This is from the very beginning to the catch of the double. Make sure that while you practice you are going over the checklist in your head.
2020 anyone
how come y'all didn't count like "twelve, third, fourth, fifth, sixth?" and said the whole "thirteen" and fourteen etc
I'm fairly certain that's a "newer" way of saying the counts and probably depends on the instructor. I was in competitive guard for 7 years (ending almost 20 years ago) and never heard that type of counting until about a year ago when I began researching newer techniques for my alumni program.
すごい!!!!!感動!!!!
Just going to put something out there: easy, simple and clean scores higher during marching band (regular competitions). It's more important to be together, than to have challenging work :) winterguard is a different story.
Love it!! looked so smooth and flowy
Its pull hits .-.
its simple but clean thnks for the inspiration.... love it...
I LOVE THIS ONE!!!! LOL
I love this one!! im trying to do this one lol but i need it a little slower lol
Dumb
Good for you so did I. You must realize that some guards arnt as privileged as others. For instance we have a dance teacher and another instructor with years . We learned to be thankful for what we have and not say other people arnt as good because they are working just as hard for it.
The part where you guys grab your flags looks really awesome. I might show that to my instructor. You guys do a really great job!
And also to the people complaining about how easy their work is: if you read their description you can tell it is written for others, probably a guard they instruct. Don't be so quick to judge, it is rude.
You guys looks way more talented than that work! Haha
get that sail out!
Your prop tosses where beautiful. But always remember to smile and not look so bored :)
sounds brutal
omg i wish our routines were this easy the one year i decided to do this we had time warp as our opener the bankd could hardly transition to the beach of the music our show was 25 mintes and we had to speed up every song to make it 18 minutes and we had 46 counts of nothin but drop spins..it was brutal
Again, i did harder work my first year of highschool marching band.
What was sooo easy! I do harder work than than in highschool marching band!
Oh wow what school
thanks! very helpful :)
You all could have been given WAY harder work then you received, way too easy & yall look clean enough to be given a higher degree of work
that kinda looks like our pathetique routine
that was cute!
Holy gorgeous pop tosses! They were perfectly together!
Nice!!
