Ultimately, Valheim is a game and if the hardcore settings are making it less fun to play, it is worth toning them down slightly.

I made what I call a "Homeworld" map. I build there, harvest there, explore, and train up/equip characters. I've killed the bosses but never turned in any of the trophies, so the world is still quite calm and as peaceful as Valheim can be.

Game modifiers have been an amazing addition to the game. I definitely recommend turning off event if it is not your style. I love building, and rather without giant moats and walls. It changes a lot

@ it’s a survival viking game. I know there’s a creation mode. They should look into making it a multiplayer game without passwords tho.

Strangely in both fights you only see white numbers, meaning no resistances (gray numbers) or weaknesses (yellow numbers) should be active

This design sounds very close to what we did at our main base on the hardcore streams Friday. It is an amazing and safe way to protect your base and unless creatures fly they cannot get to you. really good strat!

You can just copy and paste emotes from online, I also have fun sign designs in my discord ready to be copied and pasted in signs

It's in the title of the short, Valheim indeed :)

It is a very difficult balance to strike. But also a fun challenge in my opinion. Valheim has a lot of mods. Some mods offer things I really wish were just in the game, but I just don't want to alter the game in such a way that it changes too much. Before the bogwitch I added mass farming after defeating Moder so farming for a group of people is more enjoyable. Now this mod feels obsolete to me. I hope by 1.0 I will no longer need any mods and all these QOL things are built in the game 😁

@@emmatpotato Yes, I agree - as you say, striking the right balance is critical - at which point does a QoL mod that just allows you do something quicker change the game too much? I'd rather keep things simple and nag the dev team to improve it. ;P
