Cardiff Bay Ten Years of Commitment 1987 1997
Promotional video from the archives, sorry about the quality, it was copied from a VHS Tape. To continue with the promotion and political posturing of Cardiff Bay as a location for property investment this video was created to show the progress the Cardiff Bay Development Corporation had made in its first 10 years. It features the Cardiff Bay Overture recorded for EMI by the Welsh Opera Orchestra, conducted by Carlo Rizzi. Commissioned by Michael Boyce the Chief Executive of the Corporation.
The sound track "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" by Otis Reading has been removed from the black and white historical images section for copyright reasons.

I remember seeing this at the Cardiff Bay Visitors' Centre shortly after I bought my first house in the Bay. As the whole area was new, there was a tremendous feel of optimism and fresh thinking about the place. I'm still here, nineteen years later - still a great place. Thanks for posting this.
