Even at the height of his success, Seth Davis stood out from the other guys. He was never really one of them (i.e. a party animal, drug user or a skirt chaser). Maybe with the exception of Adam, Chris and occasionally Greg, he wasn't really connected to the rest of his co-workers.
Folks getting too metaphysical/abstract here….”Rich enough not to waste time” simply distills to not being at the mercy of others and their whim--on your own time, because you dictate your own direction because you’re the alpha
I don't know if that was in style for that decade but I'm associating the men's slicked back hairdo in this movie with Douglas and Sheen with the 1980's much like Pat Riley's when he coached the Lakers.
AI t you scared of the real reflection boy. u two, show u what money's for. lol. not just dolls lol she said this after your date, dear child pls forgive if I have you so they gave her a demon lol that's why you work you two
@@Pyrrhic537 You're mistaken. He's wealthy enough to avoid wasting time. He was referring to the concept of trading time for money with your typical 9-5 job. There are some remarkably dumb people in this world. Thanks for helping me understand that.
Douglas deserved an Oscar for this performance. Whatever the accuracy, he captured what every average person imagines a Wall St ahole to be, and what they very well may be, except that Douglas is, of course, far better looking and charismatic, than the majority of Wall St aholes.
or that cunt with a hobble you because you thought you backpacking hhhhh
Gecko walked over anything in his way
you know how many buyers in this show? amounts to 3😮
Meek mill & drake “doing bad” video inspiration…
"If you're not inside, you are outside " so true
Mohammed, Pull over will you. ..... I wonder why New York White Jews find Gekko having a Muslim driver so "Dangerous" ??
The scene at 1:53, with everyone on three party buses, mirrors the final image of the movie, with 3 prison buses coming to round everyone up.

Probably the best dialogue scripted film ever.
the soundtrack for this movie was insanely underrated
I’ve been jamming it all week. Best soundtrack ever. Literally.
There are two new sweaters in suite 418

Just take your place in the Driver's Seat ..
Brilliant absolutely Brilliant. Especially the part where he drew the contrast between the man in the suit and the Bum
Hahaha The guy at 2:08 next to Michael! 😂😂
I want it.
Put a s***-covered pig in a fancy suit, and they're still a s***-covered pig. That sums up the people in this scene quite well.

BEST MONOLOGS SINCE THANOS!!!!
the soundtrack of this movie is just something else
"Mohammed pull over"
Why wasn't Abbie and the other receptionists invited?
If you're not inside, you are outside...
MESSAGE
That smile at the end... Douglas finally has him, and he's glad Bud truly wants to be a player and not just a humper.
You could see the killer instinct in gekko throughout the movie. One of michael Douglas best performances
they say good is fuzzy lol now that we got all before and the answer forward they still lose

This would be day one in my kindergarten class along with a game of chess and a game of monopoly.
After spotting the homeless and rich guy, gekko tells "Mohamed" to pull over. The subtle details are all over this movie.
'Rich enough not to waste time' - is truly great writing.
Yeah that line really made me rethink what truly is success.
What did he meant?
@@amorepsyche808Rich enough to be able to take a private jet and not waste time in the airport. To have everything you want when you want.

LOL at how Ben Affleck couldn't be bothered to film this scene
They’re called _Safety Syringes_ they’ve been around…but they’re like the Cadillac V8/6/4 motor; unreliable & problematic…
U have to be in the B club to be a player nowadays
Was this movie based on Jordan belfort
“I bet you were up all night analyzing that dogshit stock you gave me huh? Where did it get you?”
Yup, “work” is definitely overrated…
JP Morgan never faxed them a damn thing.
Gordon definitely is a Republican!
Information!!!!!!!
Best part
I fked up
One of the greatest performances in cinema history
And the most sophisticated movie ever.
I want to go back to the 80s’ so bad. Life was amazing.
Great Movie!!
These guys are the backbone of the country.
Fox banged Gordon's wife as payback in the original script. They cut it out
