In smart pss you can only format the drive deleting everything on the recorder , this is in the storage menus

Hi This function is for specialist cameras from Dahua, you cant configure without them/

@@rytheralarms can I do IVS and tripwire manipulation with HDCVI cams, I can do motion detect but can't do IVS with Dahua xvr4b08 and DH-HAC-HFW1220SP

Hi Yes you can, you need to have the dahua GDMSS PLUS on your smart device, once thats set up, top left hand corner clich home, bottom right it says message click that, then in the top left there is a bell symbol click that, on your cameras its says close to the right click on that, to turn it blue and on, go to motion detect , click that, click motion detect again, then it lists all your cameras tick all the ones you want the notification for, then press the back arrow twice, to the main list of alarts at the top under the blue switch it says prompt type, click that you can then choose live, video, image select which one you would like to see when you get the alert on the phone. (make sure your phone has given all permissions to the app to work correctly).

@@rytheralarms I've set up GDMSS Plus fine and set up all you mention above, streams okay states 'Subscribe Successful', 4 cameras checked, but it doesnt alert me when motion is detected. Any thoughts on why not? It could be that I've not given all permissions to the App, but I dont see where I can check this?

@@carlturner544 Hi Carl if unsure you gave the app all permissions, (it needs access to camera/video storage etc) i would delete it and start again, if you have then i would check push notifications is turned on within the app, 1-open app 2-click home icon in top left 3-click message at bottom 4-click bell icon top left, this gets you into the notification area, to the right of the name you called your system if it says close then its turned off, click close, then turn the switch on the right so it goes blue. it will then list all the notification options, prompt type should say "live" next to it in the list you will see motion detect click that, click motion detect again, here you can select all the cameras you want notifying on motion, click the bubble top right to select all or cherry pick which ones, once this is done (dont exit the app) click the back button twice at the top right there is a save icon, click this then it will be active. if you go back 1 further page you will note it doesnt say close anymore, and your good to go. (a lot of people forget to save the changes and just back out).
