My wife purchased this trail camera for me and in the past I had nothing but good come from all my Wildgame innovations equipment but ,this item turned out to be nothing short of a big disappointing let down . Some photos were in color some black and white (min.apart during the daytime) along with many blurry one's . It would say that I had photos and there would be none so ,I would walk in front of camera and still NO photo . I know it's not a very expensive camera and you get what you pay for but , with the economy the way it is a little cash is to much to even be wasting right now . So ,to those thinking about getting one of these might want to safe up a little more and purchase the higher grade .

I was a little messed up with the battery polarity. The lid has directions and so does the compartment. Just a little counterintuitive. You showed me the correct way to put them in. Thanks!

My issue is my cam isnt working at night

So once you get it hooked to the tree do you open the bottom compartment and hit on once again to get it to start??

I can hopefully help clear up some confusion in the comments here...this video details setting up the camera only, and does so correctly. The trouble I'm seeing in the comments is what to do after. There is no start button or record button. When you take it out and have it set up in the tree, hit the power button to turn it on, verify the time is correct and it is on the mode you want (Picture/Video), then just simply close the door while the screen is still active, and wait. After roughly 10-15 seconds the screen will go blank and the red light will start to flash rapidly. When it stops flashing, its good to go. Simple as that. What I have noticed is that the first 3 times the camera is triggered after being set, the light will flash again. I think it is meant as an indication to the owner that the camera is working. However, if an animal were to be the one to trigger the camera and the light flashes, it could spook it. For that reason, I stick around and make sure I trigger those first 3 pictures before I walk away from it. After that, the light won't flash when it is triggered and it will work as designed. After the fact, there is no way to view the pictures or videos directly on the camera. The SD card needs to be removed, and you can view the pictures/videos on a computer, most laptops nowadays have a SD slot built in. There are also adapters sold at walmart or on amazon for phones that make it possible to view them on your smartphone right at the tree.

Whenever I insert my SD card (I bought separate, I did not come with one) the lcd just flashes no SD
