Amanda De Vuono Art
Canada
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 13 ก.ย. 2019
I'm Amanda, an artist living in Ontario Canada. Perpetually looking for magic & addicted to wonder. My work is rooted in curiosity & play.
Inspirations include wild nature, bygone eras, tatters & imperfection, storytelling, dreams, music, colour, & light. I don't take myself too seriously & love to laugh (life's too short not to have fun).
My ultimate goal is to help bring lightness to people's lives. We get to ride this adventure once, let's do it well!
I hope you enjoy your time here.

Loved this ghost 👻! Ps I did it on gel plate and thank you for the great inspiration and idea! I’m a copy Kat!❤❤❤
Wish: Trump for President in America 🇺🇸 ❤❤❤. 🙏 thank you. Love you Amanda, beautiful video!! Kat
Love the series Amanda!! 😍 Great work 👏👍😆💯
Aw, thank you so much for watching, D!! 😘
I found this series highly amusing, but have to admit I like your more practical hints more ( and equally entertaining). Your quirky style of presentation often reveals little tricks to solve problems I've been having with the gelli plate, and, more importantly, makes me relax about my own art, and therefore enjoy doing it rather than seeing it as a struggle. THANK YOU
Wow, that’s a beautiful thing to say, Linley. I sincerely appreciate that. That’s my goal (in art AND life), to help people find (or rekindle) the fun, joy, & wonder in things. We get 1 trip around in (this 😉) life so why not make it fabulous?! More gel plate vids & other mediums to come as I settle I to my new studio. Thank you for watching, beauty! 🤗
*THE FRONT PORCH* - COME TRICK or TREAT AT MY HOUSE amandadevuono.com/treats (free goodies only available for a short time)
I was giggin' when you said ground up egyptians until you said, and their animals. 😢 😅 I love the series, please do more! You are extremely talented, thank you for your service and happy Halloween Ohmie.🤍
Aww, you hit me in the feels Ohmie 🥹 thank you so so much, what a beautiful comment. A very Happy Halloween to you too, may your meditations be extra powerful today under a thinner veil. XO
Amanda amazing watercolor of the pyramids! Loved this series and history of art. Happy Halloween 👻. Please keep them coming from your wonderful imagination ❤
Thank you SO much, gorgeous soul! 😘 The painting turned out pretty decent…maybe there IS still some mummy memory in the paint 🤔😂
Seems to work better if you turn the paper the other way up for the second print
Always good to look at things from different angles/perspectives. You never know what’ll show up! 😊
Loved the video. My fav was the plate story of Sashiki and the painting! Next was Oiwa! Thank you for this series Amanda. You’re the best ❤. Kat
I think you’re mistaken cos YOU are the best. I like Oiwa too, the idea of a spirit in light is beautiful. Thank you for watching! 🤗
Amanda again you nailed it! The Victorian period/era was so interesting. Am always fascinated by this. Thank you for sharing the links ❤. Great video
I love the Victorian era! There’s certain eras I’m drawn to (past life maybe 🤔) & that’s one of them.
Wow what was Panta….. possessed ? Only in the 16th century. Great video Amanda and loved your research Thank you 👻🕵️♀️
@@Katmcb-r5u right?! Very bizarre illustrations. Thanks so much, Kathleen (I love researching interesting & odd things. Give me an old curiosity shop & you’ll lose me for days 😂)
Ps. Just love your new background wallpaper! Thank you ❤ so much I want to say… Will try to email you later
Great research Amanda! Love the series and very well put together. Thank you ❤❤❤ I love watching you and am a sub. Get busy please on more gel plate art girl. Kat
Aw, you’re the best Kathleen 🥹 I honestly appreciate that. More gel plate prints will be coming babes! Moved recently so still figuring out where everything in the studio fits 😂
Very interesting.....love this mini series! Thank you for sharing!!
Thanks Christine 😊 so happy to know you’re enjoying it!

I love your stories, thank you for sharing!

Love this video format! Would love to see more spooky historical stories!! 🎉
Thanks Juliet, so glad you enjoyed it! I’ve got some more coming up, every Thursday in October 😊
Great video! I'm happy that yt recommended you channel.
Thank you so much, Paulo! I’m so happy you enjoyed it & appreciate that you took the time to comment 😊
this was so interesting and your story telling is amazing! I was engaged the entire video <3
Thank you so much, Emily, that truly means a lot. Wasn’t sure if people would be into this stuff like I am 😂 So glad you enjoyed it & I appreciate you taking the time to comment XO
Awesome trailer, Amanda! I appreciate your time and effort! I'm waiting on pins and needles for more!
That is so wonderful to hear, thank you so much Caroline. I truly appreciate it 😊
Amanda. First what beautiful cards! I believe your experience has awakened you to the belief in a higher power. I’m a Christian and believe God is giving you an awakening and the power to reach others in your life thru your talent. So glad your family survived. My husband suffered from brain malformations and seizures at 50 yo. So I know what you are talking about with changes. I ramble worse. But keep on being YOU ❤❤❤ Kat
Thank you so very much, Kat. I’m so happy for this awakening (even though it makes me feel like I’m losing my mind a lot if the time 😂)
Wow ❤ love it. So pretty Amanda!
Rose of Sharon are great for these these prints, they’re like little ghosts
PS: can you please show 🌚 🌙 moons on the gel plate? Did one and just couldn’t get the colors right ~ even on black background with mountains. Used Dag’s techniques for cut out people walking. Still was cool. Would love to send the pic to you ❤ Kat
I’d love to see it! Moons on the gel plate is a great idea! Once my studio is workable again (it’s a sea of boxes & “stuff” right now 😩) I’ll have to play with that
Oh I love the Goddess print!!!❤❤❤ Beautiful print Amanda. Don’t have watercolor equipment but watched your creativity in action. Go girl! Thank you
Thank YOU for watching! I find watercolour relaxing, like playing in puddles.
Amanda after this video I got a few posca pens and they are fun! Also they were some knock off brand in better color choice at the local Walmart and they work just as well! Thank you for always cheering me up ❤❤ You crack me up 😂
Amazing, Kat! So glad you gave it a try. Hope you had fun playing!
Thank you for sharing your experience. I recently awakened and I can definitely relate. I do my best to preserve all life now too! I am looking forward to hearing about your 1st NDE. 🧡 ya Ohmie! 🫂
Awakening is so odd isn’t it? One minute you’re feeling the “ah ha!” moments of how/why life is & the next you’re thinking “am I going crazy?” 😂 ALWAYS great to find others going through similar journeys. Xo
So much beauty. Thank you! I am happy to be your 1000th subscriber. Have a great day Ohmie! 🧡
Yay, so happy you’re here, Ohmie!!! Thanks for being 1000 *blush*
when is your new video coming, miss you!!!
Aww, hopefully soon. Everything is in boxes but I’m gettin’ there!
Interesting poem. I live at half power thanks to my body's inability to get on board with my plans (heh), but I live the fullest life even when just resting. Listening to books and reading from some lovely hardbacks (or paperbacks - ain't no shame!) when I can, doing all the craft-y things and cook-y things on the good days, watching educational videos on the down days. Not as full as my life will be in the future, but for now, I'm not wasting any life. <3
Mmm yes, books are full of life waiting to dance around in your head. I love a good hardback…until I fall asleep reading & it comes crashing down on my face 😂. An inner life can be just as rich when lived fully. It’s a powerful ally when the body isn’t up to the task. Xo
Love the message and your art!
Thank you so much, Christine 😊 Isn’t it such a beautiful poem?!
Great job. Are those acrylic pens? Thank you Amanda ❤
Sure are babes! They’re great, you can use ‘em on so much stuff. My niece used them on shoes!
@@amandadevuonoart thanks Amanda 💥
@@Katmcb-r5u no worries at all, have fun!
Great video. New to gel and just a ? What type of paper are you using please. Also at the price of Amsterdam paint I wouldn’t be wasting A DROP❤. THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEO-a new subscriber. Kat
Thanks Kat! Was just using regular copy paper. So happy to have you here! 😊
Thank you Amanda ❤ love your artwork and techniques 🙏
@@Katmcb-r5uthank you so much, I really appreciate it 🤗
Really great techniques Amanda! Thank you so much!😀
Aw, thank YOU for watching! I hope you have fun playing with it…playing in general!! 😁
You’re a character!❤
Aww, tee hee, thanks babes!
Wow, cool!
Thanks so much! It’s very addictive, I’ve got piles & piles of prints jamming up drawers 😂
The faces are great. Thanks for the lovely tutorial. That was really fun.
Thanks so much, hope you have fun playing with it!
How do you glean the gilly?
Baby wipes work for me! Or, if you have really stuck on stuff that refuses to leave, try packing tape. Stick it over the dried gunk, press it down a bit, then pull it off!
Love the technique, your personality and presentation. And PLEASE - go off topic. We don’t mind ❤😀🌺
Aw, thanks!! 😊 if going of topic were a pro sport I’d be rich with gold medals 😂
@@amandadevuonoartwell I’ll give you a 🏅 medal. Congratulations 🎈 ~ I love this technique Amanda 😎 so cool ❤
Do you use high or low-temp glue?
High, nice & hotsie totsie! Would probably work with low too though I imagine. As long as you can make a design that’ll stick together
Great! That’s what I use for my other projects!
@@hartmanartsourcefantastic, you’re set to play!!
just found you. great info. and you seem to work a lot like I do. Comfy1
Thanks for finding me!! 😊 do you get nice & messy when you work too? 😂
Well, yes, I do.😊But more than that you have a lighthearted way of looking at your process and your art. I'll bet you crack yourself up sometimes when what you're working on turns south! Really do enjoy your presentations. Thanks for putting smiles on my face!
Aw, thanks for pointing that out, Bella. I do like to take things lightheartedly, all things art AND life, & I’m happy that comes through. 😊
