Just a quick test run after the coil, wire and spark plug replacement. Filled with fuel, primed the carbs and it started right up. AWESOME!!!

Thanks larry this video helped me alot, hope your doin well
You are full of shit inward adjust's the clutch
What wires are what? Like what one is the accessory, ignition, exc.
dont need to remove engine oil at all?
Please tell me you are going to fully restore that KZ-1000P Police bike!!!
I noticed the pic you showed is from a KZ1000-P! I laughed my ass off, because I was a little worried you were talking about a Z1 MkII, when I'm having issues burning out the clutch on a KZ1000-P. I just changed the clutch in November. Then on Thursday I changed it again with a higher end one and it's starting to slip a little bit (didn't slip on Friday and Saturday but it just slipped a LITTLE BIT tonight).
See this dont work for my kz 1000 1980 ... I turn the screw right it gets tight left gets loose and the oval lip goes inward to the point the outer oval don’t go over it nomore to grab and spin when pulled from the lever . So I turn the screw to the right all the way backed out to the left 1/4 the ovals were able to go in and clutch pulled fine . Other way was making it even looser even adjusting cables all the way out it wasn’t working the way you explained idk ?? Was not spinning it. Other way worked then I adjusted cables like that said and nice better then before tbh
Totally agree. My 76 900 Screw turns to the “Right” facing the engine. If I keep turning to the “Left,” I would never get the oval cover plate back on.
does anyone know what happened to Larry i was enjoying his videos
Thank you very much great explanation, now I understand.
Question. Does low octane rating gasoline such as regular produce more gunk? Since it burns faster does it make the engine heat faster?
thanks man, great vid, very informative, well done
Thanks so much. Very clear! I have a KZ750N Spectre. I’m sure it’s the same process?
Do you still have the spectre 750?
Yes I do!
It depends on the year... some years you need a clutch holder tool.
I really liked the video man. I've been trying to figure this out and you nailed it. I'm going in to do work tomorrow. Thanks!
I agree my clutch on my kz700 went stiff and this helped me get my problem fixed!
Where are the clutch springs located didn't see them
Does this apply to the kz650 as well?
Hey guy how many clutch plate have you bike ? 7 or 8??
best clutch adjustment video out there. well explained thank you very much. Just put in an ape pusher and hd springs and discs with a new cable. cant wait to ride it. cheers
THANK YOU LARRY!!! This video just saved me a world of further frustration. Let me tell you I was riding today ('82 kz750) when my clutch lever went fully slack and bike lost power to the wheels. I assumed the clutch cable snapped (maybe somewhere under the cover, because no break was visible by the lever?). I watched some youtube videos from the side of the road to see if/how I could ride back with no clutch, but even when I dropped it into 1st gear like everyone says I got no power. So I pushed the bike 2 miles home, pulled out the Kawasaki Manual, followed the clutch adjustment directions, and still nothing. More youtubing/forums and I found your very excellent video explaining where I went wrong. The manual instructions are as follow: "Turn the adjusting screw until it becomes hard to turn. Back out the screw 1/2 turn from that point..." This was the problem, I assumed "turn" means tighten/turn right, and "back out" means turn left/loosen, but your video clarified this error @4:18. Such a simple, needless mistake, but sometimes you just need someone more experienced around to point it out. Thank you very much for taking the time to spread your knowledge to total strangers, it's greatly appreciated. At the very least I owe you a beer!
great explanation. my kz1000j2 is in a honda odessy and i couldnt quite understand what the repair manual was saying."Im usually pretty good at gettin learnt from book readin but this is my first moto engine so i had to have it esplained" :P
Thanks Larry.
Excellent video, thanks Larry.
This was a good video. Thanks man, nice explanation! Let's get this baby back on the road
Thank you. Your video helped me to get my non-working clutch to work. The drawings really helped. I have a 1987 KZ1000P.
THAT IS THE TRUTH, I PUT REGULAR IN MY 1994 HONDA CIVIC AND IT BURNS QUICKLY..I'M GONNA DEFINITELY GO 89 OR 93..CAN'T HURT IT MIGHT HELP..
Hi,I have 1.4petrol 2006 Toyota corolla,do you think Super is good for my car to fill?
errr... dun think the compression ratios number represent how much oxygen you have in the cylinder. Its all up to the ECU aint it to control how much air to fuel you should have in the cylinder for a proper burn
akupehsluarketatAR absolutely right but I didn't want to be too complicated....
Friend, you have the technical manual?
Friend, you have the technical manual?
Very helpful. I am having an issue through; after adjusting this way, it's as if the more I ride, the less the lever works; it engages near end of the lever pull up til the point the lever doesn't do anything. Then, proper adjustment has no effect, and no amount of adjusting allows enough play on the control rod. What gives?
Sarrus25 you need a new clutch
Thank you Larry,
To a novice to this really helps never, pumped gas before and i didn't want to put the wrong fuel in thanks :)
as it says on the tin, a quick and simple explanation as to how a carb works. nice vid fella.
That looked like it worked, and great turning circle lol
