My Landrover Defender 110 driver's door has had issues with the window track rotting and failing. This meant that I regularly had to take the door apart and replace the metal guiding track. This is an annoying issue as my labels always printed without any hassle until recently, when the Epson printer XP-970 (and also XP-8700) both started asking for CD/DVD tray. After following your instructions and saving the document, the printer still kept asking for the CD/DVD tray when trying to print a page of 21 address labels. Found a workaround by saving the finished Word document as a PDF which then printed without any hassle on a labels sheet. Over-joyed to be able to print labels again! Hope this is helpful to anyone else experiencing this issue.
Thanks. Helped me to reconnect my Eddi too. 🎉

Great Video, could Myenergi make is more of a challenge to do this? It was only a two hour challenge. I did cheat the challenge which was cut short by this video. It was of no avail but now I know why it is screwed to the wall, its easier to punch.
Map Displays your journey if the video playing has GPS data settings set to 'on' in camera's setup. This is according to the manual. Maybe you have it on already, but the map still does not show, in which case I am unable to help further.

‘Enter your password to access your WIFI settings’ screen on smart device…..what is this MyEnergi log in password if it’s not the Zappi screen password and not the WiFi password and not the MyEnergi account log in password? All of these have failed.
I cant get my maps up even tho got the location on
i cannot get this crap app to work with 2 dongles
Can't help you there I'm afraid, except to ask if you're trying an android phone or apple? On android I know it doesn't tell you you're actually connected. Apple phones do something different entirely.
I can connect, and it tells me that the dongle is connected in my phone settings. Likewise I get all the GPS data and anything else from the phone. But I get nothing from the car, just says connecting all the time and doesn't do anything. I've tried three different OBD2 dongles and nothing.
this app does not work its a rip off scam dont buy it
Seems to work for a lot of people.

All that water, where does it go? 😮.... You mentioned something in a video last year about having your own boat, are you still sailing your Hawk? They were great videos. 😊
Thanks for the feedback. I do still have my hawk but currently waiting on new tiller to arrive as the previous one snapped. More videos will probably follow.
@@peterguilliatt Hmmmm, is that just the tubular tiller part, expensive? I have just had my centre plate out and done a refurb on it as it was quite pitted. Your info on that job was useful. Straps, pin, tape and bushes about £220. Sorry I worded my last message poorly 🙄, you mentioned in one of your Yealm videos that it might be the last time you were up there in your own boat. That's why I asked if you were still sailing your Hawk. I don't suppose you knew of a Hawk cabin in Fort Picklecombe ?
Hi Peter i am being ask for my pin number and my zappi is brand new,i put in 0000 because thats whats standard for these i guess howeveer when i put that into the set up process it does nothing?
Hi Peter on a sumsung a53 adroid phone and not seeing manage router in the settings ..i got ip setting/proxy/metered network/mac adress/ip adress and thats it? regards Neil
You might have to forget the zappi connection on your phone more than once to clear the settings. Then you should see the manage networks option. I was using a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ on android.
Super video, thanks.
Thanks for the feedback. Always nice to hear it's been of use.
I don’t get the Manage Router option 🤔. Update.. Found it 20 minutes of connecting later… seems to work now. Your instructions were so much better than Myenergi’s!
You might have to forget the wi-fi more than once for your phone to clear settings.
You only see the manage network option when your phone is actually connected to the Zappi. You need to explicitly disconnect from your home wifi, otherwise your phone keeps reconnecting to it, as the Zappi has no Internet connection.
Thank you for this video it helped me connect to my new router. Don't think I could have done it otherwise.
Always good to hear it's been of use to somebody.
Hello Peter, do you have an update on the battery SOH? would be good for another leafspy video. By the way, you should check out EV164 Hiroshi. He’s a Japanese lad who’s clocked over 185k miles in his 2018 40kWh leaf and the SOH is about 80%. It’s still going too!
Gavin - thanks for the feedback. I may get to that sometime. I'm no expert on LeafSpy. I just make these shorts really as a memory aid and post them in the hope they're of use to others.
@@peterguilliatt Leaf Spy videos are really helpful. I only use the Leaf Spy app for the SOH, everything else doesn't make sense. To be honest, I don't want to know about the intricacies of the battery. As long as I get from A - B without much hassle, I'm fine with that. I meant to say Hiroshi has a TH-cam channel and he's very happy when people comment on his videos.

Excellent information
I've had that problem with my Epson XP-6000: I wanted to print sheets of Avery 8160 labels, but the printer wanted a CD/DVD installed in one of the input trays, Then I got suspicious as Word kept telling me that my margins were too small and did I want to continue: I was trying to print from Word, so I tried from the print button on the screen for the label details (made sure that 81/2 x 11 paper was selected for the input tray - cassette 2 on my printer) - worked fine and printed my sheets of labels.
Nice job mate.
I baught a front runner one I did not even get bolts to fit it to my Defender now i must wait till next week to buy bolts to install it.
This is the best description of setting up the WiFi. Worked perfectly. Shame you can't just type in password directly in to the Zappi for WiFi
Thanks for the feedback. Always good to know it helps.
This status shown in the car isn't much use. Its divided into 12 bars, and the first dissapeares only after the battery has lost 15% capasity. (After that its 6,5% per bar). So the only thing you can read from this video is that this car has somewhere between 85% to 100% left. To do a more exact mesuresment you need a odb 'dongle' to plug into the car and do some readings on an app ('leaf spy').
The first 8% is lost in the first 1 year, irrespective of how the car is used. So anyways the battery capacity should be counted from 92% onwards. Which is why the calibration of each segment is marked in this way. So a 40Kwh leaf is in reality a 36 Kwh leaf since almost new. Many other car brands like Hyundai, Kia, use an initial buffer so you dont notice the initial 8% drop but in reality they have a slightly bigger battery than specified in the datasheet.
@@aneeshzutshi3419 they typically loose more the first year, but it varies between car types and batteries, and 8% is a way to high estimate. (Teslas are typically 4% first year and 0,5% per year the following years). On the leaf's it actually seems to be pretty linear- as in that the bar no 2 is lost faster than the first (in a rate of approx 6.5/15). My 2012 Leaf (1st gen leafs from 2012-2012 have poor batteries) lost the first bar after 5yrs3mnts (15%) - so nearly 3% per year. Nextbar (6.5%) was lost after 2yrs3mnts, and the one after that 2yrs5mnts - so nearly exact the same rate at nearly 3% per year. This pattern is the same for all 1st gen leafs in Norway (there are a lot of them here...). New Leafs (2018- ) are way better though - loss approx 1% per year - no initial 8% loss.
@@erik5820 I am basing my claim on leafspy data from hundreds of Leaf 40 cars and reported by users across multiple forums. The SOH in leafspy reaches close to 92% practically by the end of the first year, and from then on goes down very slowly. TH-cam does not allow me to post links but I will try to post them in subsequent comments.
th-cam.com/video/mqzkONn5Ugo/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=EV164HIROSHI
Please check the battery degradation chart prepared by Hiroshi based on numerous leafspy data. If my posted link is not visible search on youtube this video "Battery degradation, Cell balance of 2018 NISSAN LEAF at 180,000 km and SOH prediction at 400,000km" by EV164 HIROSHI. The chart shows SOH drop by year and Kms travelled, and by the end of the first year its at 92.5%. My own leaf is closely following that pattern. This is about leaf 40, the older chemistries were much worse. Most other car companies use ways to hide this initial degradation, but the free lithium ions need to stick to anode and cathode in the initial months to reach an equilibrium hence the initial sharp drop.
The charts + the plain sailing with no music etc, v enjoyable. What make and model of boat is it? Looks simple and capable.
Thanks for the feedback. It is a Reid Marine Hawk20 dayboat. I can easily sail it on my own but also it can accommodate up to 6 cosy adults if required. There is also a cabin version which has 2 bunks.
super helpful !!!
Thanks for the feedback. Always nice to know they help.
Thank you very much Peter! This was most helpful and I wouldn’t have been able to figure this out by myself. I don’t understand why it can’t be just as simple as setting up a new router connection in my iPad settings is. That takes all of ten seconds. All I need to do is put in the wireless network name and password and Bob’s your Uncle, but no MyEnergi have to get you jumping through hoops. GivEnergy is even worse! Trying to connect my inverter to a new router took about an hour of faffing about and that’s with the help of my son who’s a computer programmer. Even he said the user interface was outdated and over complicated. Anyway, thanks again. 👍 If these companies want more people to use their products they’re going to have to test them with ordinary non-tech savvy people.
Thanks for the feedback.
