Snorkeling with Sea Turtles
Near Balicasag Island, Bohol, Philippines. These turtles see humans almost every day so they are quite indifferent. You can get very close to them and they carry on as if you weren't there. They range in size from 2.5 feet head to tail up to 5 feet.

I was driving down the central highway in Panglao when a big black pickup traveling in the opposite direction decided to pass someone so he was heading straight at me. Most freedivers want to go as deep as possible. I want to go to moderate depths and commune with nature. Dauis Panglao Island is the place to go to learn free-diving. There are at least 5 free-diving schools. I recommend Blue Freedom Apnea, groups/778132029372069 Watch out for jellyfish. They are why I wear a wet-suit. I completed the AIDA-1 Freediving course. I can't free climb any more, so free diving is the next logical step. Free diving is going underwater and staying as long as possible on one lungful. This is one of my better dives so far. My goal is to hold breath for 3 minutes so I can go down and hang out for a bit, enjoying the scenery.

There were none for the first hour we were in the water, then suddenly there were hundreds of small jellyfish the color of sewage. They were unavoidable. Their tentacles weren't visible but they were there. I got a large number of stings through my tee shirt. At Napaling point, Tangnan, Dauis-Panglao Island, Bohol, Philippines. April 2022.

There is an ongoing Philippines government program to restore the population of Giant Clams to a sustainable level. They are lined up in neat rows because they being grown for the purpose of being transplanted.

They have beautiful and widely varying color inside the shell. There were at least a hundred of them, lined up in neat rows. The government has a program to repopulate them in their former habitat. Location is the Marine Sanctuary near Hinagdanan Cave in Dauis, Bohol, Philippines.

These are some of the most deadly snakes on the planet. Fortunately they rarely take notice of people visiting their habitat. This one lifted its head and looked at me for a few seconds before getting back to it's business. Yikes! At the Black Forest dive site near Balicasag Island, Bohol, Philippines. A pair of turtles, which is rare as they are usually solitary. Then a turtle with a human to show the turtle's size. They average 5 feet long and 3.5 feet in width. The water is about 19 feet (6 meters) deep. From April 2019.

This video has been up for more than a year. I have begun to doubt there will ever be a challenger. It seems obvious no one else in the entire world cares about hacky hang time. My friends & I find it to be extremely fun. All the rest of you are missing something!
Hi, cool vid. Yes, other people scoop. I think it's not as common because most players in a hack circle will consider the hack "dead" once it hits the floor or ground so there's no point in trying and make a play out of it. Scoops are a nice way to just keep the rally going though. It is possible to do on grass with footbags softer than a net bag but it's definitely not going to bounce as high. Keep kicking!
