It sparked a flame for social justice education, it inspired me to move to Oakland and work in community organizing. One of the most foundational albums for me. I had the honor and Privilege of seeing Mystic live back in the early 90s on South Padre Island Tx on Tour with Digital underground and a group called Chemical Em balanced i think! She was and i can still see a beautiful smart intelligent respectful and classy woman! I got hangout with Mystic, Shock and Money B outside the Sheraton! I still the have the pics! Amazing performer brilliant mind educated! Im so happy to see your still doing your thing many blessings! In this age of nonsense rap and over sexualization of female rap i always share The Life and that album with girls and women! To show them you dont need to look like a streetwalker to be dope!
