Fair enough. I use my tubes. Holds my pole anchor and gaff. Also rods when transporting to and from. I took out the double tackle box holder in the center hold (I kept taking them out and putting hem back and taking them out … so they stay under my seat now) - there’s a white bucket hobie makes. Machines a hole for switch plate and that’s where that lies. My 2 ¢

I don't know Cowan lake well, only been there once & long time ago. Winter fishing down here is a lot different from up north. There's fish shallow & deep all year, just whatever you wanna fish. Winter down here is hoody weather for what we're used to. Bass, crappie & striper fishing is really good. Crappie are 14-16" long, huge striper all over every lake & river. For locals a 5 pound bass isn't even something to brag about , noone seems to care unless it's an 8+ pounder. Which is not what I was used to. I've lost count of of 4 & 5's I've caught. Besides my 11lb 4oz I've seen a guy catch a 13.1. Some big gators is some places also. Still not used to sharing water with them! I just keep my distance & a pistol in case one decides to get to close & froggy!

There's a lot more kayak anglers in southwest Ohio area in past 5 years, it seems to have doubled sense the kungflu! The first 4-5 years I started I never saw any other pedal drives on water anywhere. Ive only seen 2 other Hobie's on water besides me down here since moving. I thought there would be more than OH. You got your Hobie from Strictly Sail I assume? That's where both my my PA12's came from. I upgraded to the 360 right before moving. What's your favorite few places to fish in that area? There's a ton of good places down here all within hour or less Santee Cooper, Lake Murray, Clark's Hill, Lake Russel. Within 2 hours Hartwell & saltwater Beaufort marsh's. Plus all smaller no name lakes. I've been exploring constantly, thankfully I can 12 months out of the year comfortably here. I've never gotten into the tournament thing. But to each their own. What area in Ohio are you from? I've been kayak fishing in PA12'S for past 9yrs now. I'm originally from just north of Cincinnati, born& raised. I keep my pa12-360 pretty bare bones except electronics. Ultra 106sv, lvs34, steady cast. Amped Outdoors 14.8v 32ah lithium. Runs everything around 15 hours, & it's under 4 lbs. No trolling motor or trailer, not any other excesories besides rods little bit tackle. Just haul it in bed of my truck. But I can launch & be fishing in less than 5 minutes. Longer I've been kayak fishing the more I keep taking things off. I moved down to southern SC about 2 years ago. Bass fishing has been excellent for me down here, completely different than southwest OH. It's weird I saw more Hobie PA's & kayakers around Cincinnati than I do down here times 5!?? My 5 biggest largmouth this summer so far 7.4 - 8.05 - 8.6 - 9.3 - newest PB an 11lb 4 oz!
