The late, great Buster B. Jones at the Newport Guitar Festival in Miami Beach, April 2008, playing Yankee Doodle Dandy & Dixie AT THE SAME TIME!!! Ending with Lady Madonna, playing all the band parts, because he can. The ending of this jam is the best part. Just a killer Buster B ending. Hey Buster, I finally figured out how to use youtube. Cheers!

2:59 for the impatient
A truly amazing talent... gone waaaaaay too soon. RIP Buster
The hillbilly picking is so awesome. I know it’s the jerry reed picking patter but holy shit he adds some buster to it
Video has no audio 💔
No audio for me either
You know I tried to copy this by myself playing guitar. No singing. Everybody loved it. Thank you so much for this glad I found it.
bigbig hand! tommy is Super!
I'm so sorry that he's passed on, but I remember talking to him back in late 2010---early 2011. He sounded a bit rough in his voice, but was a complete gentleman and answered all my questions. He emphasized "play with fire and passion" and practice consistently. I miss you brother ✔️🇺🇸
Died 2009 🤔.
Awesome
I love how tommy plays this.. he doesn't go too crazy with whatever he can come up with...Such a classic Chet piece
Perhaps the greatest "unknown" guitarist of all time. A great teacher and an amazing performer. His story about how and why he was so rapid is a classic. Thanks for the memories and thanks for posting.
Insane.!!
Dewa gitar!!
Сьемка отвратная
Greg Koch bring me here..
He was a true master !
Not a chet not a Jerry, but a good wanna be
これは本当に素晴らしい技術です。憧れます
Possible he was drunk talking?
He was dying. Less than a year later
“Buster B. Jones is the best fingerpicker I've heard since Jerry Reed... He plays like he's double parked." -Chet Atkins RIP to all three of those extraordinary players!
What s wrong with people ???...This is one of the BEST fingerstyle pickers ever & a guitar legend.....so show a little respect godammit !
johntrik The video is annoying as fuck. It's over 3 minutes of him talking. Whoever posted this should have edited out the talking. Just because he was a great guitarist, that doesn't mean his every utterance is worth listening to.
Did yo copy tommy !!!
Never mind
Lol
?
Blah blah blah..........get on with it man.....3:22 !!!!!!
that was great
Beautiful playing - she makes it look so easy.
We should petition to have them remove the "thumbs down" icon. It's insulting.
I need the Tabs !! Tommy Emmanuel ...GREAT Man !!
My God SHUT UP and play. or at least edit your videos to the song.
Laura Chezik Buster is a guitar legend who passed away early 2009. This isn't his youtube account. I'm sure there are many fans out there who can appreciate videos like these where we get to hear more from him other than just his (phenomenal) guitar playing. Luckily for this generation of people with damaged patience, there's always the option to skip right to the song for instant gratification.
Laura Ch. I
Tommy could take out Chuck Norris with 4 broken strings!
Amazing!!!! Check out my little appoach of this tune on my youtube channel: Miguel Talavera... Thank you!
Oh my... !! The intro! It's so beautiful! Love the "harp-technique" he does with the harmonics...
Buster was one of the great underrated guitarist. He is missed!
hes playing like that so they could actually here him
No, just an awesome cover I believe
Jones was great, but that sound is terrible, someone needed to touch some more buttons...
You KNOW it! It inescapable. lol
Did Tommy write this or?
He was unrivaled. Miss him.
Her fingers just fly over the strings beautiful
RIP Buster . Your music is still alive here on earth. Hope you're able to Rock the Angels up in Heaven
0:52 Wow! amazing
he's rolls are flawless
Chet and Les both knew Buster and liked his stories. Buster was one of the greats. A long time partner of Thom Bresh, son of Merle Travis. At best he was really super fast.
music starts at 3:24. i don't like musicians who talk too much. they assume people are interested the story of their lives. if you look at people like chet atkins and les paul, they just go up there and play. they don't get chatty unless they are asked to be.
crazycool1128 I hope in the last 5 years you've grown into something more closely resembling a human being, as opposed to the complete asshole you were 5 years ago.
Buster always took it easy with life. He enjoyed the simple things, good people, good beer, good BBQ, good music. Never was one much for caviar or drawing a lot of 'attention' to himself, save for when he picked up a guitar and attention naturally came. Sad we lost him too early. As time goes by, as more and more people learn of just what a freak talent he was, he'll eventually attain the renown he always deserved.
Un-f/n beleivable! I love this guy!
Happy tune! I like it!
Never said it wasn't. If you look at the original post I was commenting on the statement made was "those that can, teach, those who can't "do" . An impossibility. If you can't then you certainly won't 'do'.
I had a guitar "teacher" one time who couldn't play at all. Literally, she just started when I took her class. But she was a Tuba player and was teaching us sheet music. It was funny when we would showboat and she would tell us to stop.
It sure is a Happy tune! Awsome!
If you play guitar as well as Tommy, you get to walk around in your pajamas
Hi there, just stumbled on to your video. Was very moved by the gentleness of your tones and the mood- journey your song took me on. Warmest wishes and prayers for future inspiration.
