This install was done on a 2001 2.4l Tacoma but steps are if not the same, very similar to any 2.7l / 3rz motor.

I have 2003 prerunner should this part if I go with the Oem one that comes with a conector be plug and play or would I need to cut some wire ? Thanks
@@rileyking319 You will probably need to cut some wires unless your Tacoma was pre wired for it. I think the only Tacomas that came with this feature were some of the limited models. It was more common on sr5 and up 4Runners.

@@chevypower1747 the charger adds 60hp. A stock 2.7 / 3rz makes 150hp. Should be somewhere around 210hp total. Probably a lower number to the wheels on a dyno.

@@zacharycarter3701 Its dropped 4inches. I have a balljoint flip in the front with coil overs and 4inch drop blocks in the rear.

@@zacharycarter3701 The 2rz is the original motor. It’s the 2.4L 4cylinder from factory.

My corner lights don’t work at all. Hypothetically speaking, if they did work, how do I switch them on? Would I only need to turn the knob once (the second turn being the headlights)?

You can order them online if you look up t10 LEDs. Otherwise you could go to autozone and ask for led corner bulbs for your year tacoma.
What are the deets on your taco? Production month/year, chassis code, engine? I see yours doesnt have the oem cruise control lever, and depending on your exact model and prod date i can tell you how to check your truck for the signs of which type of cruise it has and what parts you would need. It took me some time to sift through all the bs and misinformation on the forums, but through a couple different self-developed parts location checks on my truck and staring at FSM wiring diagrams, i convinced myself that mine was the type that only needed the oem cruise lever installed to unlock cruise. So i did and it kind of worked...but then i replaced the stop lamp switch with the cruise version stop lamp switch and that fixed the issues i was having completely, and now i have factory cruise for the cost of the lever and an aftermarket stop lamp switch (w/cruise version) and about 20 mins to install and mod the steering wheel. hmu

Not all years of the first gen taco has that specific charcoal canister
You are right. I believe this year the 2.7L and the v6 use the same canister. It was a pain in the ass to find.

How did you change the color on the clock?
It’s from a previous year. 2000 and below I believe all came with green clocks.

I was just coming to ask the same damn thing...I've been wanting to lime led all the interior bulbs, but haven't because of that damned orange clock...which I don't particularly hate. My Pioneer DMH-W2770NEX has the same orange as one of the accent colors...but it also has lime green. 🍋🟩

It goes where the old intake plenum bolts up.. takes about a day or 2 depending on your smartness level

How’d you change the lighting on speedometer etc to green? i have a 2004 and its orange, not sure if it’s like that on other years or if you did that yourself
If you pull out the gauge cluster there are 4 t10 bulbs you can swap out for whatever color bulb you like.

Is this the TVS1320 supercharger ?? The newest Magnuson supercharger ?? I wanna know if the whine is still as loud as the previous supercharger haha
It’s the original Magnusun MP62 charger for the 5vz-fe. I’ve heard from a couple buddies that the new TVS1320 doesn’t whine like the older models.

Question for you my led bulb same bulbs like on this video keeps getting super hot inside the socket I have the led flasher installed already .
The bulbs are overheating?
Yes melting inside the socket only driver side .

How’s it holding up so far? Noticed the housing fading or anything from the heat of the light?
Everything’s holding up great. It’s been about a month with a decent amount of rain. No fogging or fading of the bulb or housing.

Super bright t10 leds. You can get them from AutoZone or anywhere online.
What type of switch back are those ? Number an brand if you have it
Thank you for post this video. Very good install. For reference you don't have to remove the green/white wires to add mine. Also the zip ties are for attaching my harness to the stock at the top and bottom to keep them from getting snagged.
Thanks! Yeah I forgot to include in the video the zip tie process but I used them to hold the wiring down. I was referencing the only other tutorial on TH-cam when I swapped the green/white wires. Good to know that step can be skipped. 🤙🏽

This is my buddies 2002. A brand new 5VZ-FE supercharger from Magnuson is about $3,800.
