I met Ben when my brother, Robert Hadfield, was doing the sound engineering for the stage monitors for KD Lang's band. They were touring the Constant Craving album. My brother had me visit during rehearsals and I got talking to Ben and he showed me this fiddle he played that he had made cut outs and he'd glued all these little human figures inside it. Looked like a 3D panorama or something. The concert in Vancouver was amazing and I got to watch it from the side stage at the board with my brother. Thx for the interview, very talented man and humble (the best kind).

He is very particular that’s why he orders most of his acoustic guitars from Linda Manzer near Toronto. They very, very rarely ever come up on the resale market. Linda’s customers will fly in from all over the world when ordering a guitar.

In the video, I could hear a difference immediately. The c12 was loud, and more bright, more harsh sounding. Less beautiful sounding. The c10 sounds more warm, and more traditional sounding. I think I made the right choice! I think with the 12 they just wanted to be able to charge more by adding the fancier back, but the 10 is nice enough! I really can’t complain Played a bunch, ended up going with the c10 spruce! Amazing guitar! It plays unbelievable and it sounds great!!

I vacation in Victoria in March . From Sk. I visited your store twice twice in March/24. A pleasing atmosphere, good vibes. Nice guys on staff kindly tolerated my "boy in candy store" presence. I was much impressed by the large selection of Yamaha guitars! I was stunned by the attractiveness of Yamaha's. And there can be no doubt that the brand is equal or better than Fender. But I limit myself to Squier & Epiphone, always 2nd hand. Cheap. To match my disappointing lack of talent. I look fwd to visiting your gallery of beautiful Yamaha art in a couple of months. Thank you for this video, Yamaha is disappointingly under rated, under exposed.

Just got mine. Having re-setup with 9 Gauge strings which I prefer. Absolutely love it so far. Different from my other guitars. Very comfortable, great feeling neck. Only spent collectively about 1/2 hr playing it and had my setup guy wisk it away to be worked on.. Looking forward to getting it back.

Scofield used D'Addario 12 Chromes flatwound for a long time. 12/16/22plain/32/42/52. As far as I know he uses 11's now. Again with a plain G string. I think it is a 19.

My son tried this same guitar out next to a high end Schecter, an EVH, and a Charvel, This one here won the day and now it's home.

I had a Standard with humbuckers and an Element. Both very nice. I actually like the sound of the Element better and I think the Dry Switch on it is far more useful than the Focus Switch on the Standard. However, I like the maple cap, carbon fiber reinforced neck, and stainless steel frets on the Standard. I sold them both to feed the need for new gear, but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another or recommend one to someone looking for a really good affordable guitar.

I'm a huge Jem fan and am fortunate enough to own a number of MIJ & MII Jems. The 77P-BFP is a very fine guitar - and your review has just made me 'go grab' mine. The 'Gravity Storm's are my 2nd favourite Steve Vai pups. - 'The Breed''s being my first choice. Both are more mid-ranged than the 'Evolution' set on the Jem7V/Jem7VP/Jem70V. Some Jems have different profiled necks or Trems but, in general, they're all stellar players. FYI the Trem on the 77P-BFP is the Edge Zero 2

Got that thinline. It's super cool, changed my pups to a hot ceramic neck and a La Brea bridge pup.

C12 sounds better in higher register. Down the neck less noticeable.

I got one for like $350 from Fender directly. It came well packaged and pretty darn playable out of the box. It's my cheapest guitar, and my favorite guitar. I also have a CME player jazzmaster, and a vintera II jazzmaster. I really find the shape of neck on the paranormal offset telecaster to be comfortable.

Puts everything else to shame. It’s all you need.
