Channel for FInCH Fiji plugin that can be used for the scalable and automated whole-image analysis of color distribution and morphology, such as protein expression and cell morphology on histological images, plumage ornamentation and feather morphology on photographs and any other measurements that require simultaneous measures with scalable grid features .
Measuring protein expression and cell morphology with FInCH Fiji plugin
Video tutorial for the use of FInCH, a new Fiji plugin that we created for the scalable and automated whole-image analysis of protein expression and cell morphology (MethodsX (2024) 13: 102855).
We will cover FInCH installation, overview default and customized settings and grid creation, as well as an automatic transcription factor and cell morphology analyses for each image. FInCH can be used for any analyses involving specified color distribution and structural measurements where retaining controlling for size and shape change and retaining spatial information is important (e.g., feather coloration and distribution during growth or across individuals).
