The old building was going to be turned into a Restaurant with the Streetcar #351 inside and Arcade but plans fell through. Now I seen that there is a Medical Clinic of some kind in it but the exterior is still intact and over a hundred years old. Always great to hear from you and Merry Christmas.

I believe that the paint job on that ship is the standard paint used on the ships from other Countries as well and even if it looks like it is 50 years old makes no difference as long as it can do the job it is required to do is what is really the important thing to keep in mind.

From what I have heard matelots are not allowed to do any major painting anymore as this is the job of the dockyard maties. During my twenty-six years in the Navy, this would never have been allowed.

​​@@waynereardon6826This is a massive ship with a crew of 60. There are no crew to spare doing dippy-dab work. Even cleaning stations are difficult with such a large ship (6500 tons) and such a small crew. Thos is the future as ships become more automated ... fewer grunts on board and everyone is a technician. I was on her in Halifax a couple of years ago and the Stokers are all computer nerds.

2024 at Riverside Sportsmen Club but I also said that last week when officially it was the last Cruise Night but the weather still brought out a few Hot Rodder's that were eating at that establishment. 😊

Hi Dale, for this Event it was one of the biggest solar with everyone taking advantage of this great weather and wanting to get out with their Hot Rods before putting them away for the Winter. Hope all is well and for you and it will be the Car Show circuit for you this Winter. Take care my friend.

Thanks Dale, it is a rare sight to see a War Ship on the Detroit River and I have seen Cruise Ship stopping in Detroit and Windsor for about 3 years now and they are nice to see here. Thanks Dale It is great to see the Seniors at the Retirement Home having something different to do and I can tell you that it is great to see them looking at the Classics and remembering them and also the Hot Rodders also get enjoyment from seeing them reminiscing about the past. It is good for all of us and thank you again Dale.👍

There was a good turnout as the Shows are slowly coming to an end and everyone wants to get in as much as they can and with friends and looking at other peoples rides, Yes TL was there at the Swap Meet with Jamie. Thanks Dale and I know you and Marlene are getting in as many shows as you can. Andy

Thanks Dale, I try to get a good shot of the cars but most of the time you have to deal with the shadows from the Sun, cars parked close together and then with all the people viewing them. I have to say that in my old age it is a lot of walking around and not sitting down and it takes it toll at the end of the day on my legs. Take care.

Sorry but I don't get your comment about sound back then. 26 years ago I just had a regular camera that used film and there was no video stuff on it, it was just a cheap camera with film. I wish I could of put sound on it but that was not an option available to me back then and the video is only one and a half minutes long. I wish I had take more pictures of these boats but I didn't and wish that we could hear the sound of their engines when starting up and idling out but couldn't. 😊

Sorry , I don't remember much about that boat other then it was purchased by Barry Zekelman from Windsor and was one of many High Performance boats which he has owned from a Blown Skater with great paint job called Man of Steel and then a Outerlimits Turbine Cat and many other boats afterwards, check him out.

I'm glad that you liked them. I wish that they were better but back then I didn't have a good camera and was using film back then so I was limited in the amount and quality of the pictures I took. Photos were from both Saturday and Sunday and was a great weekend for me and my wife from Windsor. I never knew how to make video or even had a computer back then and wanted to make a video of Ontario Place and the race. Thanks for you comment.

@@littlenige Sorry, I'm not on any Social Media sites and if you would like to share any of the photos I'm good with that. I have been going thru my old photo albums and then transferring them to a memory card which is time consuming then making a video of them.. I have made about 10 older videos of racing so far and have a few more to come this year. I will do more of the older ones next year with the H1 Gold Cup Races. I have also made more recent videos of Offshore Powerboat Races, Skaterfest on the Detroit River and many Car Shows. Thanks again for your comments. Andy

Thanks Dale, I didn't do these videos before because I never had a computer, didn't know how to do it and never had a good camera and used film back then which doesn't compare to the new Digital HD. Yes, it was a nice looking and sounding Cat. Seeing it on Christmas Day was a special treat for me and with the Santa outfit and Santa's ELF also dressed up for Christmas was a great day for anyone who had seen them.👍
