I made a set-up with a very simple, short path. I just needed something to move a short distance. But, it's nothing I can do via constraints. So, I tried the path route, not too different from what was done here. I have a disc that is animated along this path via a parameter (which I named "Pull_Me"). I then took a cylindrical structure that stands vertically, but that must move laterally (in X/Z), and constrained it to this little hockey puck disc. Instead of the cylindrical object moving to follow the puck along the path, the puck stays stationary, and the sketch and everything it's attached to move. Very nice. I love this STUPID PROGRAM. What solved it? Grounding the animation set-up objects. UUGGGHHH
