Charlotte Lawrence in conversation with Charlotte D’Alessio for #ODDAdigital
For the second part of Charlotte Lawrence’s #ODDADigital feature, the recording artist sits down with Charlotte D’Alessio to speak about Lawrence’s latest music video “I Don’t Wanna Dance” directed by D’Alessio. Conversing about the different stages of visualization and the energy that went into creating the timeless and natural tale, the two dive into careers, challenges and rejections. Proving that it really is “not that complicated to dig a hole” and it’s just better to “let Charlotte be Charlotte,” hit pause and take a lesson on creativity and pursuit with one of this generation's next leading musicians.

Within the current landscape of the industry-and by this we mean the wider umbrella of creativity itself-we seldom find talents of the emerging generation with their fingers in one field. Instead, we see their entire beings stretched into multiple avenues of creation and extending their talent. Characterising this rising pool of creatives is Armani Jackson. Balenciaga’s Fall/Winter 2023-24 show transported us back to the drawing board of design in every sense of the word. Not so much because it placed a special focus on “the art of making clothes,” thus finding its irrepressibility through curved silhouettes, hyperbolised proportions and multifac- eted shapes, but because it spoke of an “evolution.” #ODDA25

      Philosophy only hold true to a point cause the interpretation of one thought can change or viewed more in depth the from other. Cause if not how do we evolve. Look at technology like phones it has evolve more from when it was invited to now have. We everything at our fingers and just in home.

    • @starrix4712

      @@jamesgrijalva8908 Yes, but I said “evidence” as part of that. And you said it right there, oblong flat tablets weren’t done before ... but I think that’s a bigger example if for example someone believes in recycled ancient technologies and all that. It’s also certain cultural forms, art pieces, inventions, just something one person does in their life ... because I said “philosophy” you kind of diverted from what I’m highlighting and for some reason just talked about perspective of what philosophy is in general. Fine, I’ll change it - history and anthropology then. I feel designs etc are all researched in depth, it might be cheap for someone to regurgitate a pop culture line when people actually study human behaviour as they part of their degree. And when they study they can see what has been done, what hasn’t, etc.

      @jamesgrijalva8908 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@starrix4712 You can study human behavior and anthropology and still never know the truth about anyone cause the key part of that is that we can change our behavior and minds so that is also evident so agree to disagree

    • @starrix4712
      @starrix4712 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jamesgrijalva8908 Not really. We’re talking about “what has been done” aka an action, not necessarily people’s fever dreams. we can find out who made this forest clip if we searched the internet and public enough figures in history. So pointing out solid evidence is valid, but claiming without knowing that everything has been done before is a fallacy. It’s really the same as saying “nothing has been done before”. You don’t know for sure. It’s really just your opinion. You could be right but you’d have to show it for every single thing. It’s also most likely statistically impossible in this day and age of a new design every social media second.

From Africa to the Caribbean always remember black people came from somewhere and it wasn’t America. Secondly, I didn’t say her concept wasn’t stolen. Let me help you out.. I said out of all of those views, do you think Rihanna was one of them?! Rihanna is not her creative director, Rihanna isn’t her creative team. Do you think She would knowingly steal a females work, a black females work at that, without giving her, her props?! To make it worse, Lauren’s daughter and Bobs grandchild. Everybody is human, unless Rihanna is an Alien who knows everything her team does. We are human, we are all inspired by somebody. If people are so worried about people stealing creativity.. call out the thief’s. Dont call out the person who hired the thief and expect change. People need to know who is going round stealing peoples ideas. You people need to Stop coming on the internet to talk for talking. Such a beautiful interview, with a simple, yet strong message: one can do anything, everyone has ideas, it depends on when, how, and how many of them we ourselves choose to release, and also stay focused on an idea at a time. This is some people with much more life experience still have to learn. People learn, discover new perspectives continuously, no matter their age.
