Once again, bringing the good news / the gospel to the people! Without the conviction of guilt of our sins, we can’t fully appreciate the goodness of God’s grace and mercy / through the sacrifice of Jesus’ body. Way to go Stuart - keep preaching the word, in season & out of season!!

Context is everything. The book of Acts is a snapshot of the very first years of the church. Paul was an extraordinary man used by God for very specific purposes. Same for Priscilla and Aquila. I can’t accept blueprint theology that is being preached here. The truth of who God is, his perfect and crazy love for us, is found throughout the old and new testaments. Taking verses out of context and applying them to today without thought of what God was actually doing in the context written may not be the right way to look at these chapters of Acts. After all, Paul’s power to literally heal people with a handkerchief is not available to us today. What can we learn from these chapters? A lot, but what I get out of it is so much more about the glory of God in the highest and his power to change people through his Holy Spirit, then and now. It is a heavy burden to place on individual believers to use these examples of interactions of Paul, Priscilla and Aquila to address possible doctrinal errors in other Christians today. It has the potential of coming across as arrogant and cultish. There is way too much fear being preached here that makes me more afraid of God rather than drawn to him. Do we really think that is what God wanted these chapters in his Word for?

Way to preach the word Stuart. This may be a hard message for both Christian and Non-Christian - but it is much needed for our times!! Thanks for not holding back: Jesus in John 16:8 said, “when the Spirit comes he will convict the world of guilt…’. Guilt isn’t a bad thing, it’s good because it potentially drives us closer to Jesus! This was a convicting message for both those inside and outside our churches. Many are watering down the truth! Don’t hold back, my brother!
