Some things are best told in story form. And we believe there is a story to tell. Hard lessons, joyous victories, or humble beginnings. The stories point to the One who wrote them.

You've heard the phrase. Iron sharpens Iron. It is what men (and everyone) are meant to do. Listen to the guys talk about a movie that impacted them in this way. #theforge #podcast #episode #jesus #love #trending
Prison 101
มุมมอง 9หลายเดือนก่อน
What is it like to take the Gospel into a place where there is no other hope? It takes courage. Sure, lots of people have visited prisons (some people even made it famous; think Johnny Cash Folsom Prison Blues). But what does it really mean to be in the daily grind?

Dude with the grey bennie definitely drinks too much soda
🤣
Pangolin?
That is the benefit of having an involved parent. I was in rec league and did not go to high school ball. I have regretted that decision.
Smells how you would expect a house with 6 dogs and 12 cats living there to smell 😂
Not great 😂
Damn you are 100%right..
Well, good news is that it will happen to you. There is a chemical called 2-Nonenal but everybody starts releasing once they get older and that’s why your grandparents house smell that way
Holy shit. I can't even explain the smell, but you are so right. I miss you nana ❤
I have a terrible sense of smell but going to my grandparents house made me fall in love with stale cigarette smoke and a humidifier 😂
That’s quite a combo 😂
Cigarettes and 30yo shag carpet.
oof yeah you are never forgetting that haha
In 87 I moved in with my grandparents and the food was great the women in the new school loved me tuff guy from a town over lol Italian d.a hair style gold chain n horn twisted up seat pants with Ginny tee on and white Italian sneakers only thing was the smell of the house all the girls I brought there never wanted to come back and my grandparents were wealthy sorta they both worked for gruman in long island my grand father worked in the lunar landing mod night vision and f14 n 15 Tom cat fighter jets so real nice house but the girls couldn’t take the old people smell lol that year I went into proms in that high school I went to 5 proms in total n 2 jr proms lol
What does an old person's house smell like? Depends.
Decay
Soo true.... And I don't even think I remember smelling it at the time but I remember it now
Moth balls and bad perfume
I Don't remember
I live with em so im used to it . but when im gone for awhile i notice
For me it wasn't his house but my grandpa's car lol
Most everything brings tears to your eyes.
Truth
Your dad helped me through so many different things. I know he had no idea what to do to help, but he worked to figure it out because he knew how important it was to me. So happy he put out the extra effort.
Thank you for sharing, Greg!
Not only did he not compare you guys, but he treated all of us outside the family the same way. They had a strong belief in treating everyone fairly with comparing to others.
Love this! Thanks for sharing, Greg! Glad you enjoyed Shana and Tonya on the show, they will be back to finish this one up for this week’s episode too!
Glad to see them on the podcast. They are my first experience with your family. They came to the prison with you dad when I was first introduced to your family. I believe they were 2 and 4 when I met them. Years later they invited me to a celebration in Birmingham where I met them as adults. It was a joy to see the kids all together.
Nowadays an apology from a woman's a pretty rare thing, especially a sincere one
Wow just beautiful! The pouring out of worship, just beautiful.
It truly is!
Man, im 3 minutes in and all I can say is "I'm not worthy." Preacher in the Hat, in the hierarchy of modern media I am now looking up the chain at you. Imma need autographs, studio pass with a fancy, laminated lanyard authorizing me to join the cast backstage. You outdid ya self on this one, Hollywood Steve
Hahahaha! Appreciate it, brother 😂
Wow! So beautiful Valerie! "Lead to me the flowers again so I can see that they don't toil or spin" I love it!
an amazing line!
First like 👍🏻
I love hearing you guys talk and laugh together. The relationship you three have is inspirational. If you can do a podcast on how to develop the kind of relationship you three have, it would be valuable.
Thank you so much, Greg!
Sharing your real life issues and challenges are good for your listeners to experience. For men to share how they fit in the family is important for other men to hear. You have a chance to mentor to other men that you will never meet. Luckily I got it first hand person to person, but your reach is not limited any longer.
Yes!! Thank you, Greg!!
Oh my God I wish I would have known that when my football was alive and had a stroke he was an opera singer in Germany during world war II
Great podcast. Loved hearing Valorie’s song…such talent ❤
It is such an incredible song! ❤️
The song Valorie played was fantastic. And.. Bowser is a turtle?
😂😂 yes!
Switching seats, sounds like anyone but Steve and Lenora!! Wow!
Wouldn’t you think so?! 😂
This one's got me cracking up. The story about Steve and Lenora switching seats was on the road.. whatttttt?
Crazy stuff 😂
That just made me cry
Us too 😭 the room kind of fell silent for a second after that!
I can so relate to what Ron said about learning from Steve. I did not know the questions to ask, but he allowed me a chance to watch him with his wife and two little girls. Proof positive that there is great benefit to sharing your lives with other men.
So true, Greg! Thank you for sharing!
And thats how he ended up in jail in the first place.
Ron Buuuuuurrrrrrtttt!!! Lol
😂😂
Did I break the 4th camera?
😂😂😂
This episode was so good! I really enjoyed getting to hear from Tina about Jenna Hopes story. Alot of the discussion hit home with me. Love yall.
Thanks so much!! This was one of the most free flowing episodes we’ve done and it was awesome. There was barely any preparation done and it all just rolled right off the tongue!
If you are trying to find a way for the audience to get to know you three, that episode did it!
Wow! Thanks so much, Greg!!
‘I am already there!’, God God is with us! God is where we can’t be! He is all over the place! God is everywhere
❤️❤️❤️
Love this ❤
Great today! Love you guys
So many men love Pastor Steve, always teaching and bringing us to Jesus
It’s the truth!
Never too late!!
NEVER!
That was good stuff. Great examples. Stories I hadn't heard before. Very encouraging. Love you guys.
So glad you enjoyed it, Gerald!
He was cut from Varsity. What people don't say though when he played JV he was still dropping 30 and 40 point games
Yes! An important distinction! I think our fascination was just with how much that must have motivated him regardless.
The church organization might have failed, but those you service you provide to others did not fail.
A beautiful thing!
