Very colorful. Love them all.
bowdabra looks sturdy…EZ bowmaker has measuring base for uniform bows
So true. They both have their place in a craft room. Thanks for watching and commenting.
What do you call that gray thing you keep the cut mesh?
It’s a Bowdabra. It’s a bow making tool but I use it to hold the mesh and ribbons for bundles. Thanks so much for watching.
I appreciate seeing all the methods and pros and cons of each.
Thanks. I'm glad you found it helpful. Each base has the completed wreath in a playlist. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Thank you I love the wreaths. I like the way you made them and your talking was soothing. I followed you easily
Thank you!! Thanks so much for watching and commenting. I appreciate the sub.
I like them all but I would like to have some ideas how you finished them
Thanks so much for watching. There are videos on finishing each wreath. There is a playlist that has all of the completed wreaths. Thanks again for watching and I hope you have lots fun making beautiful wreaths.
Ok the only thing before I subscribe, I need to know your frame size for this beautiful wreath
The wreaths in this video are all made using a 14 inch frame. Thanks so much for considering subscribing, I hope you do. I’m going to start back making videos soon. Thanks for watching.
How do u attach ribbon
I typically use a pipe cleaner twisted around the middle of the ribbon bundle and then attach to the wreath frame. Rarely I will glue the ribbons in the center of the bundle to the mesh. Thanks so much for watching.
I am new..but I have seen people put the pipe cleaner in the bottom of the bow-dabra first then put the mesh/ ribbon on top it looks like it is easier?
You can use a pipe cleaner, wire, zip tie, or other items. Bow dabra has a wire/string that I use in one video. I liked using that. I just typically don’t put something on the bottom. We all kinda find our favorite ways of doing things. I find I change up all the time. LOL Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Do you have a Facebook page?
I do. I’ll add a link in another reply. I’m not sure links show up in comments so I’ll give you the name of the page. Dion Allen Designs. I haven’t focused much on social media but I want to get back in to posting on both sites. Just lost my mom to a 7 month battle with cancer and my dad went through it 4 years ago. He’s doing well so I think I may find some time to post more often.

your video popped up while I was scrolling.. I absolutely love your instructions!! I definitely learned a lot 🤩
I’m so glad it popped up and it was helpful. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
Where did you get your cutting board
It was so long ago I don’t remember. I just checked and Amazon and Walmart have them for $32.46. That’s half of their regular price. I love it!! Highly recommend. Thanks for watching.
Beautiful my Texas neighbor. I’m in Alvin🥰
Howdy Neighbor. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
What size is the mesh you're using 10 by what?
They are 10x10. I bet using different sizes would get you a variety of sizes of butterflies.
@@DIYDion awesome thank you so much 😁
The final project is well worth all your effort! I love it! ❤
Thanks. I just need to craft smarter. LOL
How nice of you to make these very helpful ❤thank you 😊 so much ❤
Thanks. I appreciate you watching and commenting.

Sorry to pester, I don’t catch how much mesh I need for projects. Mary
Let me know which one and I’ll figure out how much.
The first one is so pretty. My concern is can it easily be messes up if someone touches it or pulls on it? I have no idea which mesh to buy. Thanks, Mary
Hi Mary. Thanks so much for watching my videos. I’m the worst at keeping track of how much mesh I use. The first one in the video or the first one pictured? They are all pretty resilient.
I like your ideas and wonderful explanations. Thank you, Mary
Thanks, Mary.
Bless you for sharing your ideas. I am just learning, don’t have as much dexterity now and find these methods you use difficult. You make it so much easier, your voice is calm and so nice. I subscribed. Thank you, Mary
Thank you.
I like both the wreath bases and the full completed wreath . Thank you I learned alot
Thanks for watching.
You're using 10in mesh? Would 6in mesh give same look?
Hi. On this video between 9 and 15 minutes I do the same method with 10’ and 5.5’ mesh. You can see the difference in the thumbnail. It’s less full and a bit smaller but still beautiful. You could use more bundles to make it fuller but it will still be a little smaller. If you use any of the other methods you would just need to increase the number of poofs or pull through to make it fuller. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Pretty for Easter or Spring
Thanks
All are nice
Thank you. I appreciate you watching and commenting.
Beautiful
Thank you
Very Pretty!
Thank you! 😊
Where do you get your wire wreath forms?
Hi Deb, thanks so much for watching. I get them at Dollar Tree. I will buy them at Walmart or the craft stores if I find a good clearance sale. I also have a ton of wire frames for sale on my website. www . diydion . com I separate it because it doesn’t let me post a link in the comments. No spaces between the dots. Thanks again for watching and commenting.
@@DIYDion thank you
How many of the poofs are in each section of the red wreath?
I mention that around 4:30. It's three sets of three loops. Thanks so much for your question and watching. Happy crafting.
Great job..thank you.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Beautiful! Where did you get your wreath stand? Having that would be soooo helpful!
Thanks. It's from Hobby Lobby. It's an art easel. The cheapest one they carry. They have a ledge on the bottom to hold the canvas but I leave it off. You can adjust the legs so you can work on a table or the floor. I put a pipe cleaner on the wreath frame and then loop it around the top. Thanks for watching.
I like seeing different ones. Thanks
Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
This might be a stupid question, but if you want a smaller bow, you can just make the lengths shorter, right?
Not a stupid question at all and “yes” you can just shorten them. Especially if you’re using a more narrow ribbon. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Even the tails!
YES!!
Can you tell me what your using to put the shovel on? Is it just a regular tripod?
Hi. When working on wreaths I use a painting easel. I took off the bottom part that holds the canvas. There is s picture of it on my community page. It's from a couple years ago but you can see it. It's the cheapest one from Hobby Lobby. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Ur method confused me. But ur wreath is very pretty
Hi thanks for watching and commenting. The video has five different bases so I'm not sure which one confused you. If you have specific questions you can email me from my website. www.diydion.com
Love the butterflies. Do u sell the material
Thanks! I just had someone order a pretty good size order for the jumbo pipe cleaners. There should still be some. I don't have cuts of the mesh on the website but if you need some I can check my used mesh rolls. Shoot me an email from my website. I don't always see comments after I reply.
Beautiful!!!! I love the vintage look.❤
Thank you! It's such a sweet sign. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I’m new to the mesh world and boy it’s a hot mess🤣I’m so thankful for this video. I love the cruffle and tube look. Thank you so much for sharing this ❤
It is a hot mess!! People call the different types different things so it can be confusing. AND there are different names for different styles of bases. the cruffle is also a woodland ruffle... from what I can tell. LOL Welcome to mesh world and have fun. I do have a website where I have mesh and a pretty good price. Check it out... diydion.com I saw your other comment, thanks again!!
Ok, so which ring are you tying the pipe cleaner to and then you are able to just skip over the cross bars? Thank you! Its beautiful!
The first pipe cleaner is attached to the inner ring at a cross bar, from under the frame. The last one is attached at the cross bar on the outer ring. If you have extra mesh and make an extra poof, you may attach the pipe cleaner on one of the middle rings at the cross bar. Yes, you can just skip the cross bars. Once you make two sets of three poofs, pulling through the inner, middle, and outer spaces, you skip the cross bar and go back down to the space between the inner and inner middle ring. I hope that helps. I think it will make more sense while watching. It's hard to visualize for me and I made it. LOL thanks for watching and let me know if you have more questions.
@@DIYDion Ok great, I tried to slow the video down, I just still couldnt tell. Thank you so much for taking the time to write all that! I really appreciate it🙂
Anytime!!
I think they can be used year round.
I appreciate your input. I'm trying to think that way. I have about 40 of them and they are very convenient to make wreaths. I'll sell them on my website if you need some.
@@DIYDion I think that would be great. Let me know you decide to. I just bought almost a hundred dollars worth of your offerings. I will forward to seeing other items you may add. Thank you.
I like that you did all the different wreath bases. I am in the process of trying to start a business in my little country town. So this was very helpful to me. I will be looking for your video on decorations for them.
Hi Kathy. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. The wreaths are all completed. Here is a link to the playlist where you can find them. th-cam.com/play/PLZHOXhmb22snaRHFKSRug8YpEHUEMnI1g.html&si=F655nDQMVBjG_j9j I hope it helps with your business. Good luck.
