My wife and I were there 35 years ago. The boat that took us could not go ashore. We were taken to the beach in a dugout canoe. Recent videos tell me time has definitely not stood still in Yalapa. Tourism promoters have “created” a very new magic town around the old village. An official government designation, Magic Town, is only awarded to really old unchanged Old Mexico towns. Yes it’s looks nice. Glad everyone enjoys it.

Good video but watch out for getting intestinal sickness there. Four of us got you know what out of seven people. Right now, Christmas (2024).

Just beautiful! We are going to Puerto Vallarta the first week in December. What month did you go to Yelapa?

I was talking to my neighbors yesterday and they just came back from a 7-day Mexican cruise. I told him I want to fly to Guadalajara and then drive to Puerto Vallarta. My neighbor said he loved Mazatlan, Mexico, while I was telling him that Puerto Vallarta has nice condos there for sale and Guadalajara has nice homes. He was telling me that Mazatlan is beautiful and check the City on TH-cam Ariel drone tour of Mazatlan and see the Homes and Condos there for sale.

Did you encounter any problems when you returned home and brought your dogs across the border?

Every time I cross the border into Mexico (I live in So Arizona) I experience nothing but courtesy and kindness from the people there. It's a shame that more stateside folks can't be exposed to the ordinary Mexican people and see their prejudices as the result of the lies they're told.
